Read this about rust
I spent WAY too much time researching shower hangers. (I'm a science major and a perfectionist with no social life, so that explains it.) Anyway, I was turned off by some reports of rust in the few negative reviews. After a bunch of research, here's what I found: The main cause of rust for shower caddies is shower cleaner. The chemicals in shower cleaner lead to cracking in vinylized pigment coatings (the white finish option), and they strip away the rustproof coating that comes with the metal finish options. But no worries... just remember to remove your shower caddy before cleaning your shower, and rinse the shower wall well before putting the caddy back in place. I have had NO rust problems with this shower caddy. Also, I really like the design. First off, it's not too tall. Be sure to measure the distance between your shower head (where you'll hang it from) and the valve handle (where you turn on the water). When shopping for a new shower caddy, I saw more than a few that were so long, they would have partially blocked the valve handle. This design has suction cups to keep it in place. If you have textured tiling, NO suction cup can stay fixed to your shower wall. But that's not a huge issue. The cups are there to keep the caddy from scraping the shower wall. Yeah, the caddy may move back and forth a little when you grab your shampoo. But the world as we know it will not end. Another good feature here is the easy access to bar soap. The soap shelf keeps the bar in place, but does not have high sides that get in the way when you're trying to grab the soap. Check out how the bars in the top shelf curve to form circular openings. That's for when your shampoo gets low. Bottles with smaller necks can be set there upside-down (with the neck placed in one of those openings) so the remaining shampoo is ready to be squeezed out when you grab the bottle. The hook contours at the sides of this caddy are handy. I have a small squeegee for cleaning my shower door -- it stores easily by simply placing its side against that shelf and lowering it until it's hooked. The side hooks are also convenient for storing razors and other things. I don't use the very bottom part of this caddy, but I'm sure it would be handy for hanging a washcloth or whatever. Finally, this shower caddy is well made. I respect the quality. So that's it. Shop well, but if you find nothing else that fits your needs, I think you'll find this shower caddy to be a great choice.
