It was made for a wide door, however with three towels on it (which it holds large towels very easily - is not flimsy at all!!!!), it doesn't slide around when you open and close the door. Very nice and wonderful for towel storage where the house/apartment may be lacking in that area. However, because towels are folded up to be placed on the towel rack, it does NOT make a good drying rack, if you hang your towels after each shower to let them dry. So next we are getting the OTD rack that has one towel rack, and then hooks like coat rack, so it'll help the wet towels dry faster, to THEN be hung on the OTD towel rack. The towel rack arrived fully assembled, which was a nice surprise and made setup super easy. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it wasn’t quite wide enough to fit my oversized bath towel. I really liked the design and would’ve kept it if it were just a bit wider. Read more

This does exactly what it is designed to do, and does it well. In response to the complaint about it being designed for a wide door and moving around when put on one that's not so wide, it does have 2 pre-drilled holes to fasten it to the top of the door. In addition to using these, I trimmed off the excess metal (and it is made of metal, not plastic) with a hacksaw so it would not hamper the door from closing. With these 2 minor modifications it is perfect for hanging one towel and maybe a washcloth. I agree that 3 full-sized towels would be unlikely to dry if all placed on the rack at the same time while damp. Read more

Very disappointed. Arrived bent and when trying to hang it over shower it is crooked because it is bent Also the top hanging rod was bent! I am extremely disappointed in this . Would like to return for credit ! Read more

It was missing a cap to hold 1/6 creamic knobs. It is cheaply made but I would have kept it anyway. I order from Amazon a lot and I always have but I think it's turning into the worlds biggest dollar store where nothing cost a dollar. I had to order lots of stuff to set up a new house. The stuff is so cheaply made this order has forced me into sticking with name brands...it's all made in China but some stuff is a little better than other stuff. Read more

I use this towel holder in my bathroom. It adds another layer of storage to my small bathroom because it fits directly over the door. It is sturdy and large enough to hold three heavy bath or beach towels. I love it !! It is worth the investment. Who doesn't need more space to hang up wet towels ?? Wished I had known about this item years ago. I went to many department stores and I couldn't find this item. Can also be used in bedrooms. Read more
