Amazing idea, well made and a lot of fun. I’d be curious to know how long it’s taking other people to complete though - it says 90 minutes but I’d absolutely amazed if anybody does it in that time - I’m not academically brilliant but my logic, reasoning and problem solving skills are pretty good (I’m usually the one yelling at the contestants on TV about how glaringly obvious the escape room type things are to solve and I can’t understand why they can’t figure it out!), but this thing, even following the step by step solution instructions took an hour, just so I could put my dad’s Christmas gift in it. My dad’s a super smart, retired engineer with the patience of a saint. As I write this, it’s been an hour and he’s just solved the first step. He’s still smiling and not giving up. I have no patience at all - if it were me I’d have taken it outside and opened it with a 12 gauge already. Great gift for anyone who likes to fidget with things. The puzzles are pretty straight forward, but they still take time to solve even if you understand the concept of solving them. The pieces can be a bit fragile, due to the nature of their construction. My recommendation is to keep the box on a flat surface whenever possible (some of the puzzles don't allow that), and to never force a piece. If it isn't working, then you are doing it wrong. Except the slide puzzle. Sometimes those pieces just get a little stuck on each other due to friction. The inside is rather small, so if you are planning on hiding something inside of there for someone to find, be warned. The online guide is a helpful tool if you get stuck, with hints if you need help or full photos of the solved puzzles if you just need to move on. Read more

It was a great activity for me and my 11 yr old. This was recommended by the school principal. Best if all my daughter loved putting it back and doing it again after a few weeks. I couldn’t say the same for other toys in our house. Definitely worth it! Read more

I bought this as a “gift box“ for money for my granddaughter‘s high school graduation gift. I like the idea of an experience rather than just opening a card. Well this is definitely an experience! We went right online to the solutions area so that we could open it and put the money inside. Quick note.. the area to put the gift or money is quite small; I took three dollar bills and had to fold them into fourths in order to put all three in the little gift box area. This puzzle box is a challenge! I don’t know how anybody could do this without hints, or in my case, the outright solution! Even with the outright solution, it was quite challenging, and every movement is quite exacting. So this is not for small children. The level of detail, the engineering that had to take place, and the exact cutting of the wood is extraordinary! Very impressive. Read more
