iFixit Mako Driver Kit - 64 Precision Bit Set for Electronics Repair

I've owned this set for a long time, recently bought a second one to keep at home, and I noticed today that it got the number one spot in a Project Farm video, up against the new but overpriced LTT set. The reviews that guy does are so comprehensive and give you context in comparison by reviewing several options. Anyway, after watching that I decided to come here and make sure that I had done a review of my own. Looks like I haven't, so I'll say that this set has all the bits that you're going to need if you work on computers or other small devices and electronics. The bits are strong, the bit retention is right where you want it to be, the magnetism is on point, and the design of the container and layout of the pieces inside are top notch. I like this very much , the bits are solid and everything is just great. I already have been using it to unscrew a few things . I love how the cover becomes a tray also for screws and such while your working . It comes with stickers and everything, just a great must have for gadgets and glasses.i should have done a video and pictures when it came but I was too excited for this . Read more

They make a great product. Magnetic box is perfect for opening and closing. Everything inside stays in place. The bits are easy to remove and replace. Every bit is labeled and the place where it attaches is labeled in the box. I have seperate precision screw drivers and this replaces all of them. You get what you pay for and this is worth the price. I used it to add an 8tb ssd in my PS5 Pro wich has 2 different screws. I didn't want to risk stripping them. This set handled it perfectly. If you're planning on any electronic work, or building a computer this is a great set. It has way more lightly magtetized bits than I'll likely ever use. A small driver handle and a flexible extension for those hard to reach area or for those of us with sausage fingers, are included. The foam in the case has the bit type stamped into it but it is difficult to read even with bright light and a magnifier, so keep the reference card that comes with it. The lid had an embeded magnet at each corner to secure the lid which can double as a screw holder so they don't disappear into the void. I would like it if the handle could take a little more torque, for undoing stubborn case screws. Read more

Although it is quite overpriced, it is very high quality. The enclosure is made of durable plastic with a magnet on each corner, the magnets go all the way to the other side, so you can have the lid attach to the back as well. The screw driver feels very premium as it is made out of aluminum. You also get a few stickers hidden in the pamphlet. Read more
