This yoga mat is super convenient for anyone that has to stretch constantly due to an injury or spasticity. I only deducted one star because i feel it could've been a bit thicker but it at least has a foam type body so it compresses a bit when you lay on it. Also warning to all cat owners, your cat may be intrigued by the material and will want to scratch it. I unfortunately caught my cat two days after I brought it into my house clawing it. So I've been definitely folding it up after every use. One side has grips so that you can put it on a floor and it won't slip and it seems to do the trick! as title says this mat is thick and really soft however it's still FIRM so you are able to comfortably do your stretches or workouts on it without feeling like you are sinking in. It folds easily thanks to their crease design so you won't have to battle with getting it back together in shape. My girlfriend loves this yoga mat! Because it folds instead of rolls, it lays flat very easily. The padding is very soft for her morning yoga, but firm enough to be supportive. When it folds up it's nice and flat as well, and takes up very little space. She can slide it right under the couch instead of trying to find somewhere to stick the old foam roll. Also an unexpected benefit? My cat has always liked scratching her foam roll and has taken chunks out of it all over the thing. With this particular mat? It's like his claws can't pierce it. This mat may not be for everyone, but personally I like it! I have a few roll up mats, and the ease of unfolding this piece really shot this up to the top as my favorite exerise accessory. Seconds unfolded in both directions! I need as much ease of use as possible, and this is a great solution for no-effort exercise.
