Saw this product on an Instagram reel and was intrigued. This is a mask that you apply and can wear overnight. It is not like a normal sheet mask that you wear for 20 minutes or so. I washed my face and applied the mask. I was able to walk around the house, make tea, and watch TV without it falling off. As it absorbed, it started to turn clear. I went to bed but when I woke up in the morning the bottom part of the mask had moved around but did not fall off. My skin felt very nice and hydrated. I did not experience any reaction to the mask. Hydrogel masks have been all the rage for about a year in the skincare community - specifically the K-Beauty skincare community. At first I was a little skeptical of them - a sheet mask I had to wear for hours to get the benefits, even wearing over- night did not sound appealing to me. As someone who already struggles with sleep, I couldn't imagine wearing something like this on my face while I was sleeping. After trying one from another brand once, I pretty much swore them off. However, a recent change to my schedule gave them new life for me. Two nights a week I have an evening commitment that requires my attention until just a few minutes before going to bed. On those nights I was doing my skincare prior to my commitment, and by the time I went to bed my skin felt dry and dehydrated, like I'd lost all of the benefits of my routine. I took a second look at my hydrogel masks, and decided that these two nights would be the perfect time to wear them. I apply my skincare and then put on a hydrogel mask, take it off when it's time for bed and apply a quick occlusive layer. Being that I'm now a regular user of hydrogel masks, I was exited to order this version from Illiyoon, a brand that is known for their commitment to skin hydration and barrier support. These feels great on application - soothing and refreshing - they are thick enough to really feel the occlusive benefits, but not heavy at all and don't feel suffocating on my face. They help to lock in the routine I've already done while providing even greater benefits with ingredients like glycerin, panthenol, squalene, and centella asiatica extract. They are very comfortable to wear and fragrance free - these do have a number of plant extracts in them though, so please use caution if you have allergies and review the ingredient list before using. As someone who enjoys the aesthetics of skincare, I like that they are pretty - a glossy white with blue specks makes them stand out from many other hydrogel masks on the market. Because each of the four masks included in this set comes in two parts, the size is customizable, giving me the ability to layer sections over each other means that I always get the perfect fit! I really enjoyed using these, and would consider repurchasing in the future - they are not ground-breaking, there are no active ingredients in here that promise to make you look 20 years younger - but I tend to be skeptical of skincare that claims to do that anyway - these are simply an effective tool to boost hydration which is very important to me with my chronically dehydrated skin. I loved being able to take care of my skin while performing other tasks - this kind of multi-functional use makes this a great value for me. When I remove them my skin doesn't feel sticky or tacky - just damp and refreshed, and each morning after using one of these I felt that my skin looked and felt smoother and plumper with a slight glow that lasted throughout the day. I would definitely recommend these for anyone who has a few hours and wants to pamper themselves, or if you are like me, and need to lock in your routine while you do something else. Read more

Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Gel Face Mask comes in a nice paper box with 4 individually packed masks. These are hydrogel masks where face serum is solidified into a dense thick gel/hydrogel, which is layered over thin plastic film. The masks are recommended to use for at least 3-4 hours (until they change color from opaque to transparent) or overnight as a sleeping mask. The mask is milky white with small blue gel-beads (not-dissolving, for decoration only). This feels as a high-quality mask, the plastic film base is much thicker than in similar products, the hydrogel layer is also thick providing moisturizing effect longer. Masks demonstrate very good adhesion to the skin, they fix quickly and do not glide down from the face. I like that these masks have no scent. After use, skin feels well moisturized and pumped. The mask leaves that “wet, glass-like” skin, but I do not really like such “glowing” effects. I like that the product description listed all ingredients. The mask contains a lot of mask-forming ingredients here. From active ingredients, there is panthenol (#5 in the list) and then at the very end of the list there are multiple plant extracts, squalane, ceramide NP, tocopherol, hyaluronic acid and collagen -- important ingredients for skin barrier support and skin hydration, but perhaps in a low concentration here. I live in a dry climate area, so such hydrogel masks dry out pretty quickly. It started to turn transparent in 2-2.5 hr on my face, at that moment I feel tension at the edges of the mask near chin and cheeks. So, I would not suggest to use it overnight as the dry film might become too tight on the skin. If you believe that it can help with skin firming effects, then you can try use it such long time. I really like to use mask with occlusion effects to support better absorption of the active ingredients into the skin (instead of evaporation to the air), but I also think that skin should also “breath” and such plastic films should not prevent skin-air contact longer than several hours max. Overall, the mask delivers very pleasant feeling, cooling effects and visible moisturizing effects.
