Comfortable, well made, an excellent buy!

KJug Guitarsβ€”January 2, 2022βœ“ Verified purchase

Like the pants, I bought this jacket to stay protected, comfortable, and warm for the 01 Nov 2021 ride back after I flew to Dallas from KC to pick up my Himalayan. The trip back was fun, but rain and cold were in the mix so the right gear was essential. This ILM jacket did the trick. Over four hours of rain on the ride back and I stayed dry. When it dropped below forty at night, I layered a dry-fit pullover and Eddie Bauer fleece underneath and stayed warm. For those of you that ride, you know that "below 40" ambient air temperature means "below zero" on the bike! I've put over 3,000 miles on her since then (today's 02 Jan 2022), and some of the warmer days had me unzip the winter liner. Warmth: For sane people, it's warm enough with the zip-in liner. For us psychos, a little layering goes a long way! Waterproof: from drizzle to downpour, I've stayed dry. I did get water runoff from my neck gaiter that dampened the inside of the collar, but "life ain't perfect on a bike in the rain". Comfort: I felt comfortable from below 40 to 70 degrees in the different configurations. Protection: Haven't had to use that part yet (knock on wood), but carbon fiber shoulders, plus reinforced/padded elbows, chest, and back definitely will be welcome if I ever go wheels up! You can spend a lot more money, but I'm not sure how much more you'd get for it. Give this jacket a shot if you're in the market, I think you'll like it too. Read more

Runs small, but feels good

Troy Tanzerβ€”October 2, 2019βœ“ Verified purchase

I've been wearing this the last month or so in Texas, so basically 100 F most of the days. It is surprisingly comfortable in the heat when you remove the inner liner. It feels good, nice and cool if you aren't idling at a light. It is unisex and the cut is a little weird for me. I'm a slob, and just buy bigger sizes and let them drape on me. This has a little bit of a cut in around the stomach. I actually kind of like it, but originally I thought it was a little small. The white piping is reflective, but there isn't much of it and at night is looks like random lines, not the outline of a person. A good touch, but I wouldn't want to rely on it catching anyone's attention. Two things - it is unisex, and the zipper has to go on one side or the other. It is on the traditional women's side. No big deal, but I do have a reflective vest for night driving, and it has the zipper on the men's size, and is the only time I notice it isn't "standard" for me. Also, I lost a decent amount of weight and am hovering between L and XL in most things I've been buying. I went XL, but it runs small and I am not sure I'd want to add more than 10 lbs before it is too tight for my liking (I'm 6'0/220 lb at the moment) Update: After about a year of using it quite regularly, I bought a second one for my son. The first didn't show any wear, and he's been riding pillion with me and about to start working on his license, so it was time. This time I got a large and it works well for him (5'6" and a rugby-shaped 145 lbs). Read more

Well, found out the hard way it works

Skyβ€”December 27, 2017βœ“ Verified purchase

Bought a large and the armor fits perfectly and it’s quite warm in 33degree F, would still layer up depending on cold tolerance. 1-8-17Just went for a slide this morning due to another driver’s stupidity. Jacket took all the rash for me and saved me from serious injury. The impact foam looks cheap, but it works great. Elbow and shoulder armor held up nicely. Right arm vent tore off from the stitching though. Definitely worth the buy! Read more

Very high quality jacket.

RJβ€”May 14, 2025βœ“ Verified purchase

This is a very good price on this motorcycle jacket. I was not expecting it to be the quality that it is. It has a separate internal liner that can be removed if you choose. I have owned a similar motorcycle jacket over the passed years that cost twice as much as this jacket and the quality is no less. The only thing I would say as a negative about it, the zipper tab is installed on the left side of the jacket. It works but difficult to get use to. Overall, great product at a great price. Motorcycle riding coat

Evan Gasawayβ€”July 26, 2025βœ“ Verified purchase

I got this jacket for when I ride it I wouldn't say it's a great jacket I loved it at first but if you order one I suggest you buy one that is a size or maybe even two sizes bigger because the jacket came and it was kind of small and tight on me which you don't want two bigger jacket when riding but it ended up ripping under the arms when I tried taking it off for the second third time of wearing it and one of the straps around the bottom to tighten it around your waist ripped and it caused a hole in the jacket and pocket liners rip easy from things in your pocket and the items will end up all around the bottom of the liner of the coat but besides besides them things the code is a great coat I still wear it to this day it has a lot of you can unzip and as a pocket on each side and then one inside pocket it comes with a back padding it's not very thick but it is a pad removable elbow pads and hard plastic shoulder pads that do not remove I'm outside the coat I would recommend this code to others as long as they got the right size for them Read more
