I have mixed feelings about this hair spray. For one, I don't understand why this company doesn't provide a full list of the ingredients in its product description. This would be extremely useful, especially for those who like to know what's in the product before purchasing or try to avoid sub-par ingredients, like I do. It does the job and works as advertised- after using it, I had a 'tousled beach look' as the product description states. Some of the pros of this product are that it adds volume to your hair, provides the messy beach wave look, and the fragrance is sweet and poignant. Some of the cons are that it does not list the total ingredients on the product description page, and in fact, seems a little misleading. Only sea salt and castor oil are listed on the description page, leading one to think that the ingredients in the spray are all natural. This isn't the case when you have the bottle in hand and a chance to look at the back of it. This was reinforced to me even more by the fact that my hair felt greasy and weighted down after application. I'm happy with the slight waves and more buoyant look to my hair it provides, but am not happy about the greasiness, or the fact that the ingredients are not all natural. In short, if you are looking for a product that provides the sexy beach waves and adds volume, and nothing else, this product is for you. If you are more discerning about the ingredients, like I am, and the greasy quality of many hair sprays bother you, I would not recommend it. UPDATE: I have been using this spray for a couple of months and after continued use decided to upgrade to a 5 star. It took me a minute to get the hang of using it. I think this may be due to the fact that I tried to brush it out a bit throughout the day at first. I found that if I don't brush it, my hair retains its volume and the 'beach-waves' look that the spray provides. Also- I don't know if this is truly an affect of it or not- but this product seems to condition my hair to a degree, because when I wash it out the next morning, it feels like I'm actually washing out a conditioner. I think this may have added to the overall volume of my hair. So . . . yes, this spray is a little bit sticky, as noted above, but it is still my favorite of all of the sprays I have used so far. It effortlessly provides volume to my thin, fine hair, which is quite a feat. I love the fact that I don't even need to wash it some days and can still get that volume-heavy effect that I so much desire. It maintains the original style all throughout the day, too. Definitely recommend! Read more

This sea salt spray is a great option for beachy waves and adding more volume. It comes with a pink comb to do that. It's not my top choice of sea salt spray but it's a solid choice. I have medium length fine hair but lots of it and it made my hair soft but just a tad greasy. It didn't dry out my hair. Read more

I have been obsessed with having long, wavy hair my whole life to the point that I used to diffuse my hair regularly with mousse and texturizing spray, but I got tired of having crunchy hair. I truly believe that if you wash your hair every day, that it will end up damaged so I like to wash my hair twice a week, at most. I have bought so many different sprays for texture and volume over the years, including sea salt sprays, that I long ago stopped remembering them and I only rebuy the two or so that I have loved. This sea salt spray initially does a good job of providing volume and that touselled look that I apparently love, but it also ends up making my hair feel greasy. I like to revive my hair for a couple of days and that is impossible if my hair gets too greasy. Dry shampoo only goes so far, plus my hair is dark and it is hard to get rid of that whiteness. The included comb is a nice gesture but I have found that those combs really only work when you have two of them to provide volume in the front and back at the same time. Having one small one is pointless and if that is included in the price, they should throw out the comb and lower the price. Overall, this isnt something I want to buy again. Read more

I used the name brand Sea Salt Spray that came in the blue bottle for years, until it was unfortunately discontinued. I have not found one that I like at all until I tried this one. To test this, I applied it to shower-damp hair that had not been washed in days, but only to the air on the left side of my face. I left the right side unsprayed. Hours later, I could still see the difference between the two sides of my hair. The left side had nice volume, as well as nice waves. The right side was lank in comparison. The only thing I miss is that lovely scent the spray in the blue bottle left. This spray is virtually unscented. But it works well and it makes my hair look nice. It also comes with this comb thing, which to be honest, I really don't know how to use. The product page seems to show the model clamping it on to her hair at the crown. But the "after" photo seems to show what we used to call "The Dreaded Mickey Mouse Effect" back in high school, and it was a look we tried hard to avoid. So needless to say, I will not be using that comb thing. It feels kind of heavy to try to use as that photo shows. There are two things I do not like: the price, and the misspelling on the product page. I am hoping they mean this spray contains "castor oil," and not the "caster oil" they list, as I have no idea what "caster oil" is. And I do think $15 is a little pricey for a four ounce bottle. I'd rather see this available for a few less dollars without that useless comb. Read more
