Though the quality of this costume is excellent, the color is indeed completely different. It is not red and gold as pictures, but actually red and sage green (see picture; note that it is also extremely shiny and the brown area pictured is just shadow). The crown is also made out of rubber so it has a weird look to it close up. Overall, the workmanship quality is good. I had ordered a Medium size but was surprised to find out the chest was too narrow, so I returned it. I'm a size Regular, which according to the enclosed chart, is between 38 and 40 inches. I have not put on any weight and have a slender build. The Large size I ordered is a bit baggy and loose, but I suppose it's better than the Medium. Read more

Fits as expected. A little bit underwhelming on the fabric, but it makes my daughter happy when she dresses up as a princess, and I can be her prince (she's 4). So, for the memories, this was a great purchase. Mine's not red like the picture, but primarily green. Read more

I feel like the picture of the costume on the model is misleading, as the fabric used in the picture is obviously not the fabric used in actuality. The fabric IS a brocade, but its a brocade turned inside out, so that the outside is supposed to be gold, but its more of a sickly greenish color, as the interior (and the "right" side of the fabric) is a dark red and gold. The doublet would have looked better with the fabric used the right way honestly. Read more
