I’ve tried a few “gym mats” since the pandemic, and many are basically either resized yoga mats or squishy child play area foam mats that don’t hold up great to weights or heavy gym equipment feet. These are the first ones I’ve tried that are proper dense rubber mats similar to those in commercial gyms. I’m not sure if they’d actually hold up to heavy commercial usage (though they very well may), but they’re great for home use. Surface is slightly textured (pic), grippy, and a few tiny crumb-sized bits come off the first few times you run your hand over it. Not an issue if in the garage and you’re wearing shoes, but if inside and shoe-less, you may want to clean them a bit before use. Pieces fit together seamlessly. From a few inches away there’s a rubber smell, sort of like how tire stores smell. Only real downside is no edge pieces are included (so I’d say they’re more a 4.5*), and you’re stuck with jigsaw edges unless you cut them. Read more

These mats are a good heavy rubber, and they do provide good cushion on our garage floor for exercising. They're very heavy, and they look nice. The 9 tile pack does cover a good amount of area for weight training. I've had a hard time getting them to interlock properly, though, and have not been entirely successful. They require more patience and perseverance than I seem to have. Read more
So, if you are like me and at first glance thought these were just foam rubber sort of padding you might see in a daycare or something, think again. These are more serious gym flooring rubber. I couldn't believe how heavy this box was when it arrived. The tiles are not only robust but are well made and cleanly cut. That really matters, because there isn't much worse than tiles that don't fit snug or sometimes not at all. These are actually so snug that you really have to work them together but you get this rewarding "airtight" sort of fit. And I feel like I could drop a cinder block on them and not see a scratch and have the sound and impact seriously reduced. I got them for my elderly dog's mobility but I have relocated my home workout equipment to them as well, they chew up dumbbell and kettlebell drops easy. Extremely pleased. Read more
We are building an outdoor gym and these mats are awesome in making a great foundation for our equipment. They are easy to lay (but are heavy) and lock easily into each other. I love the fact they are thick and you can add on if you need more mats for more equipment. I would highly recommend. Read more
These mats will outlast you and your toughest workout! Pros: 1. Exactly to size and dimension described 2. Easy connectivity 3. Super thick (providing excellent comfort) 4. Very dense (providing excellent resilience) 5. Excellent price Cons: 1. They have a bit of a chemical (rubber) smell out the box but they air out pretty quickly 2. These mats are heavy! Don't let the little box fool you as you'll be caught off guard when you go to pick it up! That said, the weight is a by product of size, thickness and density so it isn't a problem, just something to be aware of. I expect to get many years of highly effective use out of these mats! The media could not be loaded. Love these interlocking tiles. They are HEAVY. You will need a lot of strength to lift this box and carry it into your house. It wmmay be easier to open outside and carry in 1 or 2 at a time. Tiles themselves are great. Definitely heavy duty. Will not slip or slide. They will stay exactly where you place them and they will give a good amount of protection to the floor below. Ideal for gyms, home gyms, or garages. They are durable and the interlocking is great. I found it easier to lock them into one another my using a rubber ballot but they can definitely be installed by hand with just a little pressure and a lot more time. Again, tiles are great. No complaint. They are 23x23 and you get 9 in a set so you can cover a large area with just 1 box. My complaint here is that they did not come with a trim to finish the border so you will have the interlocking ridges exposed. Because of this, it's hard to create a finished look. Really disappointed that there is no border as I now cannot use it in the room I needed it in. Leaving the interlocking ridges exposed is not only an eye sore, but its also a trip Hazzard that I would like to prevent. If you are ok without a nice finished look, then these tiles are perfect. If you need to complete the look and secure the outside border, then you should shop for alternatives. Read more

I ordered these for my basement home gym, specifically to support a treadmill machine in my expanding cardio area. These mats do have a chemical smell when you first take them out of the box but it's mild compared to the TSC stall mats that I have and had to air out for days before using. The quality of the rubber material is great, and the tiles fit together well. The mat thickness should be good for most applications. I'd feel comfortable accidentally dropping a 25lbs weight plate on them, but I'd be reluctant to toss fully loaded barbells on them (just a person preference I guess). Because they're strong, there are so many applications for these mats. Overall, this is a great product. Read more
