Please do not purchase this item. I received a nice box with a CD! Only a CD. No booklet,no guide, no way to walk you through the set up. If you are tech savvy,then you might be able to get it to function!! I finally received a program from AMAZON that I have rared the LOWEST of any item purchased during the last 7 years!! My title says it all - the French language software works but only average at best. The software had an outdated feel and it would have been nice if it had a S L O W feature when French was spoken to get all the details and nuances of pronunciation. It was the least costly of all the language software, so I guess you get what you pay for. Don't believe the hype... Read more
We really like the program, especially when you talk into the microphone for pronunciation. Lots of vocabulary and different lessons to help you with all types of situations. Will also give you the english translation. Definitely worth it for the price, paid just over $20. Read more
This is very old and there are a lot of glitches. There are a lot of better programs out there today that will help you learn French. I would not recommend it. Read more

I love the way it is structured and the lesson plans. However working with the Introductory Lesson I'm finding the way the vowel sounds and many of the words are pronounced seem to be done improperly. Often when I pronounce the words in the way the software does the meter graph indicate that I am doing it wrong. But when I pronounce them more closely to how I read them, I am rated either as acceptable or native. I'm hoping that as I work further into the program, things will fall better into place. Read more
