It is a solidly manufactured floor lamp (all metal) that came in a very surprisingly small box. It is easily assembled by screwing together several sections of the post with the base and top. The base is a bit small but it is relatively stable if on a hard surface or low pile carpet. Deep pile carpet may cause tipping issues. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and have no issues with performance. I ordered it with the amber glass shade which I thought would be a bit darker. It came with a light bulb which was a plus but it’s quite bright. I will likely replace the bulb with a lower wattage one to get the desired brightness for the room. I ordered this cause I wanted a small pole lamp to sit on my porch and it fits the bill. I love that it’s got a little on and off switch that you do with your foot. My only complaint was the clear globe made it really difficult to sit by with a regular white bulb in it. It was quite blinding. I ended up buying another small shade that was woven that kind of helped some but in the long run I just went to a low wattage bulb. So now I’m very satisfied with it. I thought the glass clear glass would be a good bet but I would recommend a frosted. It might help more. Read more
