Sturdy, multipurpose pipe rod that can be used for clothing

This pipe rod, which can be used for holding hanging clothes, will be an excellent addition to inside my walk-in shower, allowing wet clothing to air dry on hangers. The clothes will drip in the shower rather than onto the floor. Currently, I drape my clothing over the showerhead and the hot and cold knobs. I just need to ensure the pipe rod is hung high and in a location where it will not interfere with my husband, who is taller than I am. In hindsight, I should have ordered the six-inch brackets instead of the twelve-inch ones. We are looking for the stud to attach it to so it can support a wet item or two of clothing. We'll get two screws in the studs and then use 75-lb mollies for the other two. It comes with the hardware to install, but we have found Amazon mollies to be less than spectacular. Read more

These look great with the black powder-coated finish, but they're sort of "prop" pieces. They are quality and functional for the purposes of being used as described for hanging clothes, but not the same quality as real pieces meant for anything actually heavy duty. And that's probably a good thing, or they would weigh more than you'd want for hanging on a wall. But just don't expect them to be on par with authentic "industrial" products. Read more
