The set up for this is pretty long, getting the app, charging it, connecting it. It is really well made and solid, but I followed the instructions exactly, and I could never get the probe to connect to the charging box. My phone could connect to the box, but the probe was always not connected no matter what I did. I tried it on 2 other devices and it finally worked on my wife's phone. With her phone, it works perfectly. It is really nice to have a probe that can go in the oven, the smoker, or you can just push into a meat or vegetable. It seems extremely accurate and stable. The case has to be near by and every time you walk out of range, it makes some beeping noise, so make sure your phone can stay near the kitchen while using it. I'm not sure why I can't get the probe to connect, I tried e-mailing Inkbird several times but have never received a reply and that seems like the only way to get customer support. Read more

This Inkbird thermometer is pretty impressive overall, solidifying my belief that Inkbird is a very underrated brand. It does everything it promises and then some. These features are fantastic for serious cooks. The Bluetooth 5.4 connection is reliable and the 300ft range is genuinely useful for monitoring cooks without being tethered to the grill. The 5 sensors in one probe are pretty unheard of at this price point. Battery life is also a huge plus, with a quick 25-minute charge providing 25 hours of continuous use. The app is fairly intuitive. For the price and features, it's a strong contender in the smart thermometer market. Read more
Okay, I have been using meat thermometers for many years and have a number of them. If you are just now getting into the wireless probe meat thermometers, this one really is a no brainer. The price point is really good for the features you get and the accuracy is on point. There are are a couple of things to consider, and these are NOT negatives, because people need to fully understand this is a complicated purchase and you need to know you requirements. This is NOT a Wi-Fi ... and they say as much in the description. Yes, they are wireless in that a cable isn't hanging out of your grill and the probe transmits the temperature readings without a wire. These are Bluetooth enabled and have very good range, especially when you place the case close to the source (this is in the instructions). Another thing is that the App is REQUIRED. Some of the much more expensive units have a display for the measurements to use in the absence of the app, but this doesn't have that. With all that said, it really is a wonderful way to get into the wireless probe movement. Or, even if you already have InkBird stuff (I did), just grab this one and you will find a use for it in no time (think Thanksgiving). The app is SUPER informative and the range is very good with an extremely readable display. The quality feels very nice and the app provides so many functions that you will really enjoy, especially watching the graphed temp changes. It has a durable case that acts as a charger and "repeater", so place it closer to the probe and then you are off and running. Read more

I roast a whole chicken every Sunday so I know from internal temperatures. I used to have various meat thermometers. One, the old traditional metal spike with old school dial that usually ran between 1 and 100 degrees from the spot you were looking for wasn’t very good, and admit it, there’s one in your junk drawer. You’ll never use that again. Toss it. I also have a nice digital thermometer with a probe that you take the temperature of your cooking with. (It could measure liquids which this can’t. Keep that around). And of course the digitals with plug in probes, that usually got coiled in the oven door, had a good measure but was sort of a pain to use and quite unpleasant to look at after a few uses. Lose it. Here's the Real McCoy, or at least the Real McCoyest yet. The basic premise: put it in and it will tell you via your smart phone when you’ve hit your temp (or you can give it a temperature range). You will need the phone app (not the best for pairing because you need your model number, but you’ll get there since I did). You’ll need to charge the thermometer which comes in truly the coolest charging case ever (it looks like an Egyptian sarcophagus in that the top cantilevers our and the thermometer itself is the mummy in a nice little bed cut to fit it). You set the app for the desired temp, stick the prob in UP TO A SPECIFIC LINE WHICH IS TOWARDS THE TOP, and they will call you when your food is ready. It works, it’s cool, it takes less room than all of the ones you can toss (just maybe save the digital for your liquids – I make yogurt and need something that will give a fast read on the hot and cooled). You will be very happy with this. And when you’re bored just open and close the charging case. Read more

This wireless meat thermometer is such a game changer! I love that it uses an app on my phone to check the temperature while I'm either smoking or grilling dinner. It prevents me from having to hover over the grill/smoker or continuously having to check on whatever I'm cooking. Which leaves so much more time for actually entertaining my guests. It's very easy to use and comes with instructions that can be followed along by anyone. It is important to fully charge the thermometer before trying to use it for the first time. The case it comes in is so fancy and looks very expensive. It keeps the thermometer organized in my drawer and is also the charging vessel as well. This is a very practical and amazing product. I've tried others before and this one is so superior. I've had no issues cleaning or reading this thermometer and it is always precise each time. Highly recommend to any grilling or smoking enthusiast. Read more
