Each year when I go to my annual art fairs, I always purchase small cloth wallets made of beautiful materials and fabrics. I have a collection of them. When I travel, I put about six pairs of earrings in one wallet. I use a different wallet for other earrings. It works well, however the earrings get clumped together and I’m always pulling them out and sorting them- I’ve even had pearls fall off. So first I am very careful when I choose my travel earrings, and second I carefully pack them. This pouch is a great idea that I think it will work well. I can separate the more fragile pieces or the ones that might tangle a little more, and keep everything in one pouch. I’m excited to try this out. I saw one reviewer mentioning that the earrings fall out of the pouches when it’s turned upside down. Since I carry my earrings as carry-on items, I have control over that so I don’t think that’ll be an issue for me. But I appreciate the heads up because I may bring a large safety pin to pin together all of the pouches. This is a soft velvety pouch, which is neat and trim. The zipper works smoothly, and the stitching is well done. It comes packaged nicely in a box so you could give this as a gift. I am loving this travel jewelry so much. I have bought several others before and found that they were too big/bulky or that my jewelry entangled altogether. This is a 6 compartmental zipper pouch that is very well made with a rich cobalt blue material that is soft and easy to open and close. It looks and feels high-end. I'll be using this when I travel to keep my necklaces separate from my earrings and rings. There is plenty of room for what I need and it fits large hoop earring and watches without bulging too much. I can throw this in my carry on so that my jewelry is always with me and when I am at the hotel, tuck it safely in the hotel safe. This zippered travel jewelry pouch looks like a great solution at first glance. The compact size and inner fabric dividers seem perfect for keeping necklaces and bracelets separated and tangle-free. Unfortunately, the dividers don’t extend all the way up to the zipper, so the moment the pouch gets turned or jostled during travel, everything slides out of its sections and bunches together. It’s a smart idea in theory, but the execution completely defeats the purpose. This pouch performs well and takes up minimal space in luggage. Because of concerns about the interior pockets’ open tops, I gave the pouch a test run before my upcoming trip. For the trial run, I used mostly costume jewelry that included a watch, 2 necklaces, a bracelet, 2 pairs of earrings, and a gold ring. The pouch was placed in a carry-on bag and travel situations were simulated. I even gave the pouch a nice couple of shakes. The jewelry stayed in place! 5 stars on performance. Visually, the exterior of the pouch is not great for me. The velvet texture is not as subtle as it appears in the listing photos; A nice looking zipper and tassel would elevate the overall appearance and visual appeal. The zipper and tassel on this do the opposite, and are tacky. The zipper has a too-bright, cheap appearance. There is nothing elegant, chic or sophisticated (seller’s words) about this poor-quality tassel. The top of it continues the same too-gold finish and the tassel itself is made with very thin, low-quality pieces. This tassel acts as the zipper pull and cannot be easily removed for a different look. The bag is functional, but it’s not something I’m delighted to have, and I definitely would not give it as a gift. Read more
This is a nice size travel jewelry case. It is small enough to throw in my purse but it has so much room inside. I love all of the little pockets. They ensure that my necklaces don't get tangled together because there are enough pockets that each piece of jewelry can have it's own little pocket. It zips closed so you don't have to worry about losing anything. I was able to fit quite a bit of jewelry in this and it still zipped closed just fine and was very packable. The quality is good and the zipper works great. It's a velvety fabric on the outside and cotton on the inside. Read more
