They keep everything securely in place and don't ride up. Work under clothes, as well as alone as sleeping shorts...comfortable both ways. Feel warm under regular clothes, but not in an unpleasant way, and didn't cause sweating. Would be good to wear out in the cold for extra warmth. Did fine when washed with regular laundry.
