I wanted to wear these a few times before I left my review. First off keep in mind I am a 100 percent cotton girl all the way. Even though modal is derived from plant fibers and is also a natural material I had never worm this fabric before so didn’t know what to expect. I have bought this brand cotton undies before and love them so thought I’d try these out. My first impression upon opening the package is how soft they were. All the seams were flat locked and no loose strings. The material is stretchy. These are true high waist. They come up to right below my belly button. The thigh is cut just above my hip joint. The only thing I was not happy with is the crotch width on the XL size. I think it could be about a half inch wider and would have fit me personally better. These do not roll down under my belly. They do not stretch out after several hours of wear. They BREATHE! Yes, these are breathable. They wash up nicely in cold water and low heat to dry. They did not shrink or pile or unravel. I don't know about you, but I have specific Period Undies. They are usually big scary granny panties ("BSGP"). I don't care what my butt is lookin' like in underwear when I'm feeling like I just got run over and I'm leaking my life's blood: I want big underwear to hold in bloat that's not going to let my pad go ANYWHERE. Well, my last batch of BSGP was wearing out and getting threadbare, so when I saw these, I ordered them because I figured sleek black big underwear would be better than stretched-out washed-out pastel giant undies. 100% the right choice - these are nice big full coverage underwear, they don't ride up at the thigh, they don't go up your butt, they don't allow your pad to migrate and they're comfortable... ANDDDDD they don't look bad! These briefs do not make me feel like I have to use my Batman voice all like "NO, GET OUT" if I'm in the bathroom wearing them and my husband had the unfortunate timing to come in and try to brush his teeth or something. They actually look sleek and nice, just... you know, more coverage. Now I'm wondering why I was padding around in giant paisley pastel bloomers when I could have just been wearing these babies all along. Just two things to consider (neither of them cons, just information): 1) these are high waisted and come right up to my belly button (but not over it) and are a firm fit in my usual size. They fit like a glove. So, if you hate that feeling, size up. They're very soft and stretchy so it's not like jeans closing in on your tummy or anything, they're just not flappy loose undies. I wear between a size 12 and 14 women's and I got the XL. (But when I'm on my period I can literally gain 8 lbs over a day or two and feel like a size 14 is suffocating me until at least the 4th day of my period, so yes these fit like a glove, but they do have stretch.) 2) these are not dry starchy cotton undies, so when you're placing your pad be aware you need to watch it when you're pulling the undies up into place because the adhesive at first is going to not be quite as sticky as it is on starchy panties. Once your underwear is on, it's not going anywhere and the pad is firmly in place. They have a nice wide band at the top instead of a thin band digging into you. No wedgies. I have been wearing these underwear for a few days now, and they have quickly replaced almost every other pair in my drawer. The wide waistband is the standout feature for me. It sits comfortably above the hips and, most importantly, does not roll down when I sit at my desk or bend over. Unlike other full coverage underwear that tend to ride up, these stay exactly where they are supposed to, meaning no wedgies or constant adjusting throughout the day. These are nice panties but they sadly don’t work well for me. They are soft, thick microfiber with a cotton crotch and an elastic waistband. I appreciate the quality of the materials and construction. They have a flattering cut that covers the rear but are more sexy than “granny”. For someone with sensory issues and/or thicker individuals, these may not be the best choice because the leg holes bind a little bit tightly, and the elastic waistband is a bit thick and uncomfortable. I bought a L based on size chart and they were a little bit tight, so I’d suggest sizing up. Overall they are a decent value if they work for your body. Read more
