I have only just bought this 3Qt silicone lid; however, I like the overall quality and fit. It fit my 3Qt Dua-Mini inner pot perfectly. Before I wrote this I did two tests which I thought were important to know the results of. First, I filled my 3Qt inner cooking pot with tap water to about half full and put the lid on it. I grabbed the pot by the bottom without touching the lid at all, and shook the heck out of it. The lid did not come off. It didn't lift. It didn't leak. Nothing. That was really reassuring because it suggests it is a tight seal and, with any luck, won't come off if one accidentally drops a pot with the lid securely on. Be aware that the forces of the contents inside the pot should it be dropped will likely be much higher than shaking the heck out of it. I'll leave it to another enterprising soul to do that tests. Some things I'd rather not have to clean up after. I also had the idea to do the same test again with boiling, or at least hotter than hot tap, water; however, I decided using hot water was an invitation for a scalding burn. I don't know about you but I'd much rather walk over burning coals than get splashed by boiling water. My second test was therefore much simpler. I put about 2cups of cold water into the pot, put the pot into the InstantPot and turned on Saute. I then, before the water got hot, put the lid on. Then I waited. The lid bulged up, which I expected. However it remained tight until the water got to 180 deg F. (I have an infrared digital thermometer which I used to get the temperature. At 181 deg. F one edge popped up letting out the trapped steam vapor. Nothing else happened. No water escaped, and I seriously doubt the escaping steam would be enough to cause injury. This heating test demonstrated two important things to me. The hot water test demonstrated that the lid can withstand quite a bit of internal pressure before it loses its seal. It also demonstrated the lid likely won't come off explosively, risking boiling contents splashing onto someone near. In other words, while I do not, cannot recommend keeping the lid on while cooking using the InstantPot, I doubt anything will happen other than a quick pop up of a bit of the lid which won't do anything other than startle the unwary. The media could not be loaded. The Instant Pot Cover is very well made. I purchased the 8 quart cover for the Bistro Elite pot that came with the pressure cooker. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit snug so I guess it depends on what brand pressure cooker you have. Otherwise it’s a good quality cover that I will use Read more

I love my instapot and my family is obsessed with tamales, so this was a great investment for me. It holds together well and I have had no issues. Easy to clean, no odd residue out of the box, and does not transfer smell from last night’s crab steam to today’s tamale lunch with minimal cleaning effort. Read more

Fits perfectly and allows me to store food inside my instapot container directly in the refrigerator. I mostly use this for yogurt so that the yogurt can solidify better as it cools without having to disturb it by transferring it to a different container first. Read more

These lids are a necessity if you want to leave what you cooked inside the IP and put it in the fridge. It prevents odors from escaping and is easy to grip and use. I had the 6Q size as well for my former IP and loved it. Read more
