My son takes one of these bottles to school in his lunch every day, filled with his favorite chocolate milk. I put the bottle in the freezer for a few minutes before filling it with the milk and it stays nicely cold til he has lunch a few hours later. The bottle is near indestructable, the caps do not leak and are interchangeable with many other similar bottles sold by Amazon (so no worry about finding the right one for each bottle), they're dishwasher safe, and being made of stainless steel they should last indefinitely. The 12oz size is perfect for our use as many similar 'insulated water bottles' are larger but my son doesn't need a vat of milk for lunch nor will a larger bottle fit easily into his lunch box. They can call this a 'water bottle' but it's just as good for milk or probably any liquid. I can't comment on how they keep things hot (i.e. coffee or hot chocolate) because we don't use them for that, but from what I've seen on other bottles' reviews, heat is easier to keep longer than is cold, so I'd expect these to be good at hot beverages also. These are great! I wanted a smaller water bottle (similar to the disposable plastic ones) as I tend to just drink more if it's in smaller spurts and these work well with the water flavorings if you use those too. They fit nicely in everything, car cup holders, the bottle holders on backpacks, and arent unweildy to hold. These also keep your water cold forever, ice lasts the entire work day. I also liked how they were inexpensive and didn't require you to by like a bundle of 5. The finish is holding up rather well too, especially considering how much I drop these. I'm so disappointed, maybe I got the broken one? Looks fine. Kept coffee hot initially. The second time I opened this thing my coffee was room temperature. It was closed tightly or I would've had a spill. We cannot make a simple thing like this work? I'm returning it. Read more
