For a fraction of the price, I can’t be upset. It is still hard to open and close it once it’s been used a couple of times, even with trying coconut oil on the threads, olive oil etc. I just stated grabbing it by the openings on the side and twisting with a lot of strength. Also, some people say the treat opening is too big, I didn’t have any issues with it. We have a 62lbs pit rescue and she did destroy a part of the opening day one, but the treats still stay in for the most part. It serves its purpose, but I did take a star for durability since it was damaged pretty quickly by our dog day 1 but honestly..she’s a goat. Tried to upload video, amazon keeps saying “something went wrong” 😑 so I attached a still photo from the video where she was able to tear through the material on the treat side. Also when she tries to get the treats and bites down, she often will pop the top half off and I just have to make sure I can locate it to get it washed and reassembled again. Read more

No weird smell. Dogs love to eat their frozen yogurt from these toys. Read more

Amazon Viners are not supposed to mention other brands, so let's just say I've been using another type of very popular rubber product for "frozen treat time" that starts with a "K". It was probably named after a popular scary movie with a two word title called "King _ _ _ _" OK you got it. My Pug puppy loves them. But I didn't want to buy several of them and have them roll around my freezer. Plus they are pricy! So I've been making a new one every night to have it the next day. This ensures me at least 10 minutes of uninterrupted time later. But it still takes me 5-10 minutes everyday to make up the mixture & clean up. Now I have seen a similar product to this one that was at least double this price and sold the silicone mold separately. So when I saw this, I was excited to try it. I was worried it would be too big for my small Pug, but it is perfect! In fact, I love it so much, let me count the ways: #1 it has a flat bottom so it sits still while she enjoys it. I don't have melted yogurt going all over the place to clean up later. You can also apparently put Kibble in this end to be used as a hidden food toy. #2 the size of the ball is fairly big & stable - so my dog knows is it not a toy. But the food "cube" you make to go inside is only about 2" around, and this is a perfect serving for an afternoon treat for my dog. #3 It came with the silicone mold which allows me to make 4 servings. So I only have to make up our Greek Yogurt mix with fresh Banana & Peanut Butter every 4 days instead of every night! #4 This tray sits easily in the freezer, instead of the product rolling around. No more needing to first balance it somewhere bf it is frozen so the goop doesn't spill out everywhere. #5 My pug Lola doesn't have to bring it to me 1/2 way through so Mommy can bang it on the table to get the last bit that is stuck up at the tip. She can finish the whole thing all on her own w/o bothering me! Which is the entire purpose of this product in my opinion. I am clearly very happy with this product, that is bc it has given me the gift of TIME! The only kind of odd thing I'll mention, is that it includes this silicone brush with it. Many times in the instructions it says to coat the area where the two pieces screw together with oil so it doesn't get stuck? I haven't done this bc I haven't had this issue. So I don't know why that is a thing. Maybe if you are freezing the entire ball? But I only put the tray in the freezer & put the food cubes in the ball when it's time to serve. I can't recall the price & it looks like it is currently sold out - which is not surprising! But it's definitely a great fine & an awesome value. If you have been thinking about these - def do it! Cool toy for dogs. My dogs love it.My pitbull loves to roll it around for the treats and my Chihuahua, with her long tongue, likes to suck the treats out like an ant eater lol. It's good quality and durable. It can be hard to clean though if you use anything other hard treats. It's like a medium size. Helps to keep my pups active! Read more
I had a few misplaced expectations that left me slightly disappointed when I got the actual product, but my dog still loves it and I'm very happy with it. Maybe it's my fault, or maybe the photos that they used didn't represent the scale of the product well, but I thought that it would be a lot larger than it was. It's a little bit larger than a baseball and a little bit smaller than a soft ball, I expected it to have at least an inch or two wider diameter. Going along with it being smaller than expected, I would have thought that you could fit more treats in the bottom part. It can hold about 20 pieces of regular dog food kibble, or 10-15 slightly larger treats. I don't love the hole either, it's 3 angled pieces of silicone that align next to each other without touching, and have an opening in the center. It's pretty easy for pieces of food to fall out of the middle, and it's impossible to get them through the edges. You really just can't fit a meaningful amount in there either, that part only lasts my dog about 10 minutes. I love the idea of freezing food/treats/peanut butter/whatever and letting the dog lick at it for a while. Again with the toy being smaller than I thought, the frozen treats that go in the top only last about 90 minutes. I'm not entirely sure that it even could be any larger though, because if it were maybe it would melt and make a mess before a dog could reasonably get through it. For what it is, I'm happy with it, but I would love if it lasted longer. The molds for freezing are pretty deep and narrow, and I had a hard time getting the frozen treats out of them, but it's not impossible. You just have to man handle it a bit. They say to use "butter or cooking oil" to lubricate the threads on the part that screws out so it's easier to take apart, and I chose to use butter, which in hindsight wasn't the greatest option. I would choose some cooking fat that's liquid at room temperature, because the butter seized up when I tried to take it apart and I think it might have been harder to get apart than if I had done nothing. The second and subsequent times that I've used it, however, I used olive oil, and it was much easier to get apart. Everything that it comes with, including the mold for the frozen treats and the brush for the threads, can be washed in the dishwasher, which makes it super easy to keep clean. If it's not that dirty, it's really easy to clean in the sink as well. My dog isn't the type to destroy toys with chewing, and this is no exception. The silicone of the toy is pretty thick, so it can probably resist being shredded up by small to medium dogs, even if they're big chewers. Any dog that's around the size of a Labrador or bigger, and if they really like chewing, they might be able to take it apart after a while. Read more
