Nice for extra tall bottles

MyPenNameSeptember 22, 2016

The overall size and capacity of this caddy is not extra large, at least as far as I am concerned. I have had other caddies in the past that hold a lot more items. The "large" area of this one is the height between the two shelves which allows it to accomodate the really tall bottles. As far as the width and depth of the shelves, I'd say they are just normal. Mine was missing the rubber piece to use on the hanger to keep it from slipping and suction cups alone never seem to be enough to keep a caddy in place, especially when it is full. The construction is nice and I do really like the satin finish opposed to chrome because let's face it, chrome or stainless only stays shiny and pretty looking for so long especially when you have hard water. I do not want to spend time cleaning and scrubbing a shower caddy ... cleaning the shower and tub is a chore enough! So, anyway, the satin finish looks nice but sort of hides any water marks, etc. I like that there are several hooks for sponges and tools. I have loofas, sponges, pumice stones, soap on a roap type mesh bar soap bag thingies, back scrubber brush.. lots of bath goodies, so i always appreciate extra hooks. I actually have an 'over the door' coat hook rack thing hanging over my shower rod, with the hooks side inside of the shower and have sponges etc hanging on there as well (handy dandy idea there). So, while this caddy looks nice and seems well made, you may want to choose a different one if you truly want an extra large size caddy that can hold a lot of items. Do you typically have 7 body washes, 3 face scrubs, 2 cleansers, and 3 sets of shampoo and conditioner, a few Lush cakes and a couple random body scrubs in the shower? If yes, you will want a different caddy :) This one does not accomodate my bath arsenal. Read more

Very large caddy. Nice features, but no soap dish.

S. LipsonSeptember 10, 2016

This thing is very large! Make sure you look at measurements and spec it for your shower application. I was going to use this in my boy's bathroom which has a typical hosed, handheld showerhead. It didn't fit for that application well because this organizer stood out so far from the tub wall it pushed on the hose for the shower head. I then put it in my shower even though it does not match my hardware :(. My husband and I have far more (and larger sized) shower soaps/shampoos/body washes, razors, conditioners, nail cleaners, etc. Our large size body wash and shampoos are pump topped and they would only fit on the top shelf of this unit which leaves them placed so high we have to take them out to use them and put them back in the rack. There are just 2 razor hangers and 2 hooks (total) for wash cloths or body buffs and shower squeegees. There is no area for our bar soap on this rack so we use a soap dish. Our other caddy had a soap bar holder, but we chose to use a separate dish anyway so this is not a big deal for us. The rack signage stated it was coated to prevent rusting; hopefully that will work. If it starts to rust I will throw it out for sure. It did come with suction cups on the bottom, but they do not adhere to our tile wall at all. We have had many such shower caddies over the years and most of the suction cups have not worked except occasionally when we had slick marble walls in one of our showers. The white plastic coated caddies have historically been the quickest to rust and thus have had the shortest life span. This caddy is replacing a perfectly fine (albeit a tad small) oil rubbed bronze caddy that remains in perfect condition at almost 3 years old. I think these shower caddies are a great organizational shower accessory. This one did come with anti slip pin-like a cotter pin which snapped on over the shower pipe after you hang the shower caddy. This anti slip pin was attached in a small plastic bag to the back of the caddy. Its' application is critical to stabilize the caddy on the shower head pipe so that it does not slip down and fall off! On the top shelf are three 1" round holes so that if a top could fit, you could invert a bottle (upside down) so it would be easier to use up the remainder in the bottle. Read more

Lovely And Large

R PRIUSSeptember 12, 2016

I received this shower caddy a few days ago. It arrived slightly damaged as the shipping box was caved in; it looked as though the box had been crushed by the weight of a much heavier item or two. Amazon readily agreed to send a replacement caddy. I already own a scaled down version of this caddy which is rust resistant and has the same identical finish. While this is not a particularly heavy item it is more than adequate for the task at hand. It hangs from a hook which can be mounted from the shower's neck. It holds washcloths, soap, shampoo, conditioner, razors, and most grooming products. It does not rust and does not corrode. It has an attractive satin finish and hands down beats most of the shower caddys on the market. I have owned many similar caddys which have been discarded due to rusting in a short period of time and can tell you that this finish seems to be inpenetrable when it comes to rust. Much as I love my little caddy, this one will work well in the master bathroom. Its greater capacity will offer greater convenience and room for essentials. Under normal circumstances it will hold up well. Read more

Unlevel out of the box, but functional with some tweaking.

Dogs & HorsesOctober 4, 2016

I may have actually found a shower caddy that I can live with despite an actual manufacturer flaw. Taking this out of the package, I noticed that it wasn't level. It actually tilts a bit to one side and the shelves aren't level. See the photo. It doesn't actually hang on my shower head properly because we have a marble ledge along the wall exactly where the suction cups are and it makes the entire unit bow out. Plus there's that whole uneven, tilting problem. Since it does hold the large size shampoo bottles, I found a work around. I took pliers are turned the top hook a quarter turn around hung it on the shower glass wall using the suction cups on the glass. I had to think about placement of my items to keep stuff from sliding - pesky tilt. However, almost two weeks now and the suction cups are holding with no trouble & it's working fine. Nonetheless, the final production quality needs closer scrutiny. Read more
