I've been carrying a JujuBe diaper bag backpack for years. My youngest is 6, so she's been out of diapers for a while, so it was time to think about something a little smaller and more professional for work. I wanted something that was water resistant because my Jujube was. I was hoping this INUK backpack wouldn't feel too rubbery or plasticky because I have some sensory issues and that would give me the ick. I'm happy to say that it feels more fabric like than plastic and has no weird smells, so that's a win! I love the geometric stripe. I'm not normally fond of big logos on bags I carry, but I find the INUK logo cute, so I actually like it. My work laptop is a 13", and fits perfectly in the padded laptop pocket. My Remarkable Paper Pro tablet fits in the pocket with my laptop, so that's even better. I did try putting in my 15" laptop, and it definitely wouldn't fit in the laptop pocket, but could be stuffed in the main body, so that's something to be aware of. I wanted to test to see what size water bottles would fit in the water bottle pocket. I tried a few. First was a 26oz Yeti Rambler. It fit beautifully with no real stuffing necessary. Next was a 32oz Corkcicle sport canteen. It took some stuffing, but I was able to get it in. I wouldn't recommend this because you definitely won't be able to do it with one hand, so it's pretty inconvenient. I also tried a 25oz Corkcicle classic canteen and that worked nicely. Finally, I tried 24oz Hydroflask. It wouldn't fit with a boot on, but would with a boot off. I think he moral of the story is, if you want to carry a water bottle, err on the smaller side! When I was testing water bottles, I did end up having one leak, and I'm happy to report that the bag is indeed water resistant. I was able to wipe the water right off! This backpack feels durable, is comfortable on, and by itself isn't terribly heavy. It has an outer pocket, a padded laptop pocket, two open inner pockets, the main inner body, and an inner zipper pocket. The layout of pockets is nice. I was able to stuff a cardigan in with my laptop and Remarkable Paper Pro and didn't feel like I was overloading it. It's not inexpensive, but it feels lux enough to justify the price. I chose the Polar Night Black because most of my bags are black, but I keep going back to the Honeycomb color and have a little bit of regret about not choosing it because given how nice the black looks, I imagine that yellow would really pop! I love this backpack. I’ve been carrying around an oversized one for years, and it tends to collect a lot of heavy stuff that doesn’t really need to be with me all the time. This one is perfect. When it’s empty, this backpack is featherweight. It fits my 13” Macbook Pro, just like it was advertised to do. Surprisingly, it also has room in the computer pocket for my 15.6” (9” x 14.25” x 1/2” thick) portable USB-C powered monitor. The design doesn’t provide a lot of built-in options for organizing things. There is one large compartment containing the computer pocket, a thin divided utility pocket, and a zippered pocket. The rest is pure carrying capacity. That’s great for me because I have a couple of zippered electronics organizer bags to keep track of my cables, chargers, converters, and so forth that I can just toss in that compartment, along with my iPad and a book, and still find everything with ease. The small zippered pouch on the front is handy for all the miscellaneous stuff you want to have handy and find easily. The water bottle pockets in the sides are the best I’ve had on a backpack, deep and tight enough that my bottle doesn’t fly out when I sling the bag over my shoulder. It took me a while to find the “hidden” pocket on the back of the bag, which I guess speaks for itself. One of my favorite things about this backpack is the manufacturer’s emphasis on sustainability. The fact that it is entirely made from recycled plastics scores a lot of points with me. The fabric seems very sturdy, and it’s water-resistant. The stitching and zippers all seem to be very high quality. I expect to get a lot of use out of it. Read more

I ordered this water resistant backpack for my daughter to use for school, and we are both extremely impressed with it so far. From the moment we took it out of the packaging, it looked and felt like a truly high quality backpack. We are only halfway through the school year, yet her previous backpack was already falling apart, so she was thrilled to replace it with something much more sturdy and well made. This backpack easily fits everything she needs for the school day, including her lunch box, Chromebook, textbooks, folders, and still has plenty of extra room. The layout of the pockets is very well thought out…between the front pocket, interior compartments, and side pockets, there’s a designated space for supplies, water bottles, and smaller items so nothing gets lost at the bottom of the bag. One feature that really stood out to me is that the interior lining is made from recycled plastic bottles. I love seeing companies make environmentally conscious choices like this, and I would absolutely love to see more brands follow suit. It’s great knowing that sustainability was considered without sacrificing quality or durability. The padded, adjustable straps are very comfortable and provide good support, which is important when carrying heavier loads. Because of the adjustable design, this backpack could easily work for a wide range of ages..from a younger child to a teenager or even an adult. While this backpack is a bit more expensive than some other options, the quality, thoughtful design, and durability make it well worth the price. This is a fantastic backpack that feels built to last, and I would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, well made school backpack. Read more
