Aside from this pad being insanely thin........so thin you wonder how the heating elements could actually be inside thin...it's great. Quite fabulous, actually. I put it on top of a bed pillow and then put a sham on top of that to use it; the dogs get the softness of the pillow and the heat from the pad. The best feature of this heating pad is the timer, although it's great being able to select a temp. Once you figure out how to do that (the unit turns on to 120*. Press "set" and then the up or down arrows for temp....hit "set" again after you get to the temp you want. Hit "set" again and you'll go to the default 12 hr program. Hit the up or down arrows for time, hit set again and boom....you're done. Every morning I set for 125* 15 hrs and the little dogs get a warm place to sleep all day. It washes clean if vomitted or urinated on; the pad is vinyl. Not terribly flexible but it does lay flat. I used to have to keep a space heater on near the tiny dogs all winter, but this pad has eliminated that need. No more shivering chihuahuas. The Pugs do think 130* is too warm and sleep elsewhere; 125 seems to be the sweet spot for everyone. Read more

Warms up quickly and doesn’t get too hot. Also has a timer. My outdoor cat loves it! The size is also perfect and it’s so soft. Quality is great! Definitely recommend. I bought a different brand at first and it didn’t get warm at all. This one you can feel the heat immediately. Read more

Olaf von Snowman is older, he's about 12/13 and he is set in his ways, so it's weird when he changes things. Olaf sleeps with his human every night, all night, but then suddenly in November he started sleeping in a cave bed he hasn't frequented for some time. This cave bed is on top of our heating vent, so his human got it in her head that a. he was dying (this is due to trauma from when a prior cat died unexpectedly, he was indeed not dying) or b. he was cold (the more obvious answer). So the human went online late one night (or early one morning, who's counting) and late night ordered several new beds for Olaf von Snowman that promised warmth. He immediately took to one of those self warming pads bc it reminds him of his favorite fabric, sherpa. But he was leery of this mat. So everyday his human turned on the mat and she did yoga next to it and let it run out its timer (12 hours). And then about a month in, Olaf von Snowman discovered it was the perfectly warm little square. And now he follows his human servant around screaming at her to move it near to her and turn it on. Olaf recommends that if you too are a human servant, you too should own one for your cat employer. But be forewarned, you may have to pretend like you don't like it or see it and you definitely don't want them to use it, and then when you least expect it, they will fall in love with it. Give it time. From the human: It is small, Olaf is 14 lbs, and I probably could've gone up to the bigger size. If a cat fits, they sits, so I wasn't overly concerned with it, but it is something to be aware of it. It is also pretty thin, it's just wired mat with a thin covering, so it's not luxe. It is perfect for Olaf and I as he has like half a dozen beds to choose from, and it does not overheat. It does shut off after 12 hours, which is great, I love the timer. If I were to buy another one, I'd probably upgrade, but as a starter for my cat who is very cautious about new things - it was perfect! Read more

Although this a a good heating pad for pets, my suggestion would be for the company to upgrade the flimsy zipped covering. My dog Heidi would only lay on it a few min at a time. The covering slips and moves with her each movement. My remedy was I happened to have ordered some plush pee pads at the same time I ordered the heating pad. I pulled the pad out of the zipped liner, and wrapped it over it to lay flat. Now it looks thick and plush like it looks in the photo and not too thin. Heidi is now happy. This tip might be useful for someone else. My suggestions would be for the company to add some padding to the cover, Read more

My dogs love this heating pad. It doesn't get too hot and the timer is perfect. Especially, when I forget to turn it off. The different heating temperatures is so convenient. I love that the cord is covered and chew proof because my dog likes to chew everything. Being able to take off the cover to was it makes this product perfect for my family. Read more

My cats love this heated mat! They sleep on our bed and often during the night would come and lay really close to us. I was hoping this mat would keep them warm enough and feel cozy enough so that we could move without rolling over on a pet! It has solved this issue with flying colors! I keep it at 90 degrees for our cold winter nights. The washable mat cover is soft and cozy as well. Read more

I purchased this heating pad for my cats that sleep in the garage. It is wrapped in a lightweight tarp to help keep it clean and it lays on a ped bed. The cats absolutely love this heating pad. The old cat is 16 and she rarely leaves it other than mealtime. The size is good. There are usually two cats on it at a time with extra room. The timer on the mat great. I set it to run for 24 hours. It rarely shuts off because I reset it to 24 every evening. The temperature on the mat adjusts in five degree increments which is plenty. I've kept this one on 105 and it seems just right. Read more

Great feel, evenly warm throughout the pad. Our vet recommended never having a bed warmer hotter than a cats natural body temp, they can over heat easily. This bed default setting is 120, so something to remember when you turn it on. Otherwise, very happy. Read more
