Larger than I've imagined. Crystal clear. Easy to rinse of and clean. No assembly required. Honestly, I don't know how they make these because 3D printing can't do better unless resin. Very sturdy! Value for money is fair. Water for is steady pouring and is large for images down. I'm considering getting the small one to have, too. I would consider these high-end compared to catch cups you're going to get with shopping wholesale or getting one from a pet store. PetSmart has terrible quality compared to these high end Crystal clear catch cups. I just can't get over how clear and sturdy thick they are. Fits perfect over all tanks. I'm a happy customer here. If I could only figure out how they do it though. It's probably very cheap to make in resin but it's a niche market and I'll give it to them. Better than the best catch cups I've ever seen. I put white paper behind it while it's hanging over the tank and transport fish from the net quickly for photo shoots for my online store selling fish. CRYSTAL CLEAR!! Read more
I bought this catch cup for my shrimp, and it is absolutely the perfect size for that. It works so well to acclimate shrimp or just separate them. I would not recommend this for fish tho unless they're super small nano fish. Read more
I'm not going to write a negative review even though I had a terrible experience. It was my fault but I don't want other's to make the same mistake. I have 24 tanks that I breed fish in and lost an entire tank (about 30 fish) in less than 24 hours. I scooped water out of the tank into this container and netted a few of each species into this container to take pictures for sale of the fish. After the pictures, I poured the water and fish back into the tank. Within 12 hours one fish was dead. Within 24 hours, they all were dead. These fish are the most active and vivacious ones I have. I never have fish loss as all tanks are heavily filtered, have regular water changes, fed quality food, are all completely individually isolated and most are heavily planted, including this one. I ran lab-grade testing on the water immediately after this and there was zero ammonia, zero nitrite and less than 5 ppm nitrate. The water temperature maintained the 78 degrees I have always kept it at. No new fish had been added to this tank in 2 months. There was zero physical signs of parasites, or damage to the fish. They were not gasping for air (every tank does have an air stone). The only thing that I believe changed is me dunking this container into the tank, filling it with water and pouring it back into the tank. Please don't be foolish like me, and rinse these before using. Clearly there was some type of chemical from the manufacturing process that was introduced into the tank, and it was catastrophic. Other than that, these are amazing. They are much thicker and stronger than ones used in most stores. They are very clear allowing for excellent photos. Make yourself aware of the measurements as they are noticeably smaller than the ones I see in fish stores and the part that holds it on the tank isn't quite wide enough to safely hang onto a couple of my tanks because of their thicker frames, especially acrylic tanks. This hangs on the tank nicely and helps make the fish catching easier. Great size for dumping the contents right into a fish bag. Read more
The media could not be loaded. The IOAOI drip acclimation container has been really well designed for gradual adaptation of livestock. It was especially useful for my shrimp, since it allows for a slow and controlled drip without stressing them. The clear walls make it easy to monitor the process, and the setup remains stable throughout. For shrimp keepers, this is a solid option. That said, now that I’ve been adding more fish to my setup, I’ll need to upgrade to a larger container to handle higher volumes. For small shrimp groups, it’s ideal; for larger fish, you’ll want more capacity. Well made, easy to clean, and thoughtful in execution. Highly recommended for shrimp and nano livestock acclimation. The container helped us acclimate the new snails we got. It is better than the traditional way. After acclimating our snails, they happily went about their business as if they had been in our tank the whole time. The other snails which were acclimated the traditional way, hid for 3-4 days. It was a shock to their system. Be careful hanging it on rimmed tanks. It will hang but can be knocked over easily. Read more
If you have an aquarium this container is a really important thing to have on hand. I use it every time I need to isolate a fish or whenever I have new fish to acclimate before introducing them into the tank. Because it has a lip on one side it can easily be hung from the aquarium top, either inside the tank or on the outside. The acrylic is sturdy and should last a long time. Great purchase, I may order another one to have on hand. Read more
I ordered the large size and was very happy with the quality and size. I rinsed it with distilled water and used it to acclimate my cherry shrimp. Before you order, pay attention to the dimensions you need. It is a good product! Read more
