The Anker PowerPort Atom PD 1 is an incredibly compact, fast, and powerful charger. I bought it to pair with my Apple MacBook Pro 13", and it worked flawlessly to produce steady power and quickly recharge my computer's internal battery. The reduction in weight and size compared to the MacBook Pro's original power block is dramatic. The Atom PD 1 weighs nearly nothing, and its size is not much larger than Apple's tiny 5-watt USB Power Adapter. The Atom PD 1 is an impressive upgrade and the perfect solution for saving desk space when powering your computer at home or the office and an even better choice for carrying along in a briefcase when traveling or commuting with your laptop. I spent A LOT of time researching how to run the Sony A7Siii with wall power. This is the answer. I don't know if this will also work for the A7iii. For the A7Siii, the requirement is 9volts x 3 amps. There may be other products that do this, but Anker is my favorite technology provider. It took me a LONG time to determine 9Vx3A is required for the A&S7iii - It is either lore, or specified somewhere obvious that everyone else knows about and I was left out of that club. I also use this to charge my iPhone 12. When running a charge meter in software, I seem to recall this charges at 18 or 20 watts, whatever the iPhone 12 maximum is, however, I don't remember for that use case. After I found this to work well, I bought about 8-10 of them, and use them for all of my wall powered USB devices. I have 4 Aperature MC lights which are USB powered. This product is nice and SMALL! This will also power a Macbook laptop up to 30 watts, however, that may or may not (generally not) be enough to keep the battery charged. Mac's have a specific battery management feature that drains the battery then refills it with software control, and 30 amps is not sufficient for many MAC laptops. It seems to work well for the mac air line, and can fill in on the MacBook 13 inch, but do your own homework here. Read more

I was surprised to see how small the charger actually is when I received it. I was even more surprised to see just how fast it charges my iPhone X and iPad Pro! It’s much smaller than an iPad charger, and just a tad bigger than the standard iPhone charger that seems to take a million years to charge now! The build quality is OEM quality, feeling slightly more solid than the Apple chargers, plus I really like the matte finish because it won’t show scratches and smudges nearly as easily as the Apple chargers. One thing I find hillarious is all the people complaining that the prongs don’t fold... Seriously? The charger is SMALLER than the iPad charger and in the same ballpark as the standard iPhone charger, yet the iPhone charger doesn’t have folding prongs and nobody seems to mind. Anker comes along and makes a charger that can literally charge your Mac, iPhone, and iPad in the nearly the same size as the fixed-prong iPhone charger and people complain about it!?!? Do people realize that making the prongs fold would make it bigger, thus defeating the purpose??? I guess some people complain just to complain. Anyway, I highly recommend this charger because it’s made my job much easier and more productive since my work depends 100% on my phone and iPad being functional. If either my phone or iPad stop working, I can’t work. So the faster I can charge my equipment, the faster I can get to work! Read more

To be honest, I see a whole variety of reviews for this baby charging port, and I’m confused why. At least for the product that I received, I found no technical issues and nothing wrong with its size. Sure it may be in the shape of a cube, but the only way that could make traveling worse is if you plan to put it in your pocket or something. As for the wattage, I can’t necessarily guarantee it is running 30 watts, but it charges all my devices fast and I can say that it definitely charges my devices faster than the older models. I made this review because I don’t want anyone to be misguided by this product. Anker is known for their great quality and I want to ensure that in the most honest way possible. One huge dealbreaker for me is the fact that this is strictly one port USB-C, which is a huge move forward but in a small way. Even though it gets a little bit annoying having to order USB-C to Lightning port/other ports [ which , let me tell you, adds up really quickly if you want a legit cord (I got Anker)] , I’m at least satisfied with charging speed. Unless a charger has to be slim and you have to make sure 30watts is what you get, this charger is most likely for you. Read more

I tried several other PD chargers for my iPhone 11 Pro and iPad Pro, but none of them improved my charging over the 18-watt charger that came with the iPhone. This Anker wall charger powers up my iPhone very quickly (faster than the one that came with it), but it's how it powers my iPad Pro that really impresses on illustrations in Procreate. The larger the file, the faster it drained, despite my iPad Pro being plugged in! Once I started using this charger, the improvement was really obvious. I can now work on moderately large illustrations in Procreate (a power hog) without it draining my battery. And, after working on battery power only until the battery is quite low (20%), I can recharge the iPad in less than half the time that it took with my other chargers. That means I get back to work a lot more quickly, saving me time and money. That is something I really appreciate. If you rely on an iPhone or iPad for work, this little thing can quickly pay for itself. I definitely recommend it! ** If you found this review helpful, please mark it as helpful to let me know and help other buyers. Thanks! ** Read more
