The socks seem to give good support for my ankles. I bought the 3 pack. They are supposed to have arch support and help with other foot issues but I mainly got them for my ankles. I walk around to get my steps in on tile floor for at least an hour a day and like how they support my ankles. My ankles and feet give me trouble sometimes so these should help but I will also use socks with a bracing strap for days when my ankle hurts and I need more support. They were comfortable and breathable. I bought a Medium for my women's size 8 1/2 shoe and they fit well. They had a good thickness and didn't feel too warm. The height was a few inches above my ankle. After washing and putting in the dryer they did shrink some but they still fit comfortably. The smooth material on the bottom did rough up some. I posted pictures before and after washing and drying. The next pair I will air dry to see if that stops the shrinkage. I am happy with the purchase to use in my indoor walking and other workouts. I do believe I have just fallen in love with these ankle support socks. The compression is firm but not hard to put on. The fit is perfect and comfortable; they wash easily and dry fast, plus, I really like the colors available (however, I mostly wear the black).
