I picked up this 185W LED Garage Light to brighten up a fairly dark two car garage that I also use as a project space, and it has made a bigger difference than I expected. The first thing that stood out was just how bright it is once you power it on; the 6 side panels plus the center panel throw light into every corner so there are no more dim patches around the shelving or the workbench. The panels are adjustable, so I was able to angle a couple of them toward my tool wall and the back of the garage where I usually park, which gives a more even spread instead of a harsh spotlight effect. The color of the light is a clean daylight tone that makes it easier to see details when I am working on small parts or reading labels, and it does not have that yellowish cast that a lot of older bulbs have. Installation was straightforward because it simply screws into a standard E26 socket, so I did not have to rewire anything or mount hardware on the ceiling. I was a little worried about the size and weight when I first unboxed it, but once it was in the socket it felt secure and has not loosened or sagged over time. Heat output has been reasonable for something this bright; after longer sessions it is warm to the touch but not concerning, and I have not noticed any flicker or buzzing. From a practical standpoint, it has turned the garage into a much more usable space at night, whether I am doing basic car checks, cutting wood, or just bringing in groceries from the driveway. If I had to nitpick, I would say this is probably overkill for a very small single bay garage or a low ceiling where you are standing right under it, because the brightness can feel intense until you angle the panels correctly. It is also a single point of failure, so if your only ceiling socket goes out you lose all that light at once, unlike using multiple fixtures. That said, for a typical garage, workshop, or basement where you want a simple plug and play lighting upgrade without dealing with wiring new fixtures, this has been a genuinely useful and worthwhile purchase. I had bought and LED garage light that had a motion sensor built into it. That didn't work out so well. I'm replacing it with this light. There are 6 LED panels that can be angled , to direct light towards the floor or towards the wall. I'm able to get good coverage across 1/2 of the 2 car garage as well as putting extra light on my workbench and the chest freezer in the garage. The feature I like the most about this light is the light in the center. It point straight down. If I need bright light on an object I can just take it to under this down light. I've gone through quite a number of LED garage light in the last few years. They only seem to last a year or so before some of the panels start to fail. I've done failure analysis on the failing panels and in almost every case it is cheap, electrolytic capacitors that have failed. It's unfortunate that poor reliability on a 5 cent part is what causes a unit to fail. I'm hoping that this brand will be better, but only time will tell. Read more

Overall it’s ok and light up the space. I bought this to replace my older similar light unit, believing it’ll give more lighting in my garage (based on the wattage). This light unit is compact couple of inches smaller than the one I already have. Even though the new one has higher wattage, the bigger span arms of my older unit lights up the space better. I ended up using this new one my basement. Smaller space and works fine, and I’ll keep it as the price was reasonable. Read more

Really bright LED light that screws into any standard lightbulb socket. This light has 6 really bright LED lights that can be folded to any angle to adjust the angle of light. I had to move my light socket to fit the light because it was in the way of the garage door opener. But once moved and installed I was able to adjust 3 of the lights straight down and the other 3 at an angle to light up the front of the garage better. Lights up the garage great now. It was very easy to install... just screw it into the light bulb socket. Easy for me to use as it is connected to the light switch and I have a nice bright light for the garage. Great quality, bright, and easy to install. Read more

I'm quite happy with this light. I got one to test it out and then bought 4 more. I have two in my garage in three in some unfinished basement areas I have. I replaced 100w (equivalent) LEDs bulbs with these and everything is *so* much brighter now. I love the deformable panels - you can really control where the light shines. You can choose to aim it all down, or have it fan out. The light is made up of one fixed downward facing center light panel and 6 deformable panels that can be each tilted 0-90° to control the direction of the light. Each panel contains an array of LEDs and is vented on the backside to help cool the panels and prolong the life of the LED arrays. The overall light claims to be 185 watts and 18,500 lumens. I saw another reviewer say they are 37.3 watts and 3,700 lumens. 18,500 lumens is crazy bright. I would guess the other reviewer might have it right. Honestly, I'm not sure I would want it much brighter for where I'm using them and would prefer 37 watts usage over 185 watts. These make my windowless storage rooms feel like daytime. The light claims to be 6500K. There is no yellow at all to the light, so this seems about right. It's a good color balance - super bright white without going too blue / hospital feeling. The lights are easy to install assuming you have standard E26/E27 sockets that all classic light bulbs fit. You just screw them in like a normal bulb. The max light width is about 10.25" in diameter if you put the panels straight out to the sides. The height is about 4.1" total. Read more
