The clamp and arm are both surprisingly sturdy and made with heavy, metal components. The clamp now has silicone covers instead of the non-slip stickers that slip. That is a vast improvement. The cell phone mount is not the best and made with plastic, but it is acceptable and will do the job. There are many other high-end cell phone mounts that will work with the tripod screw on the arm, or with a spring if that is what you prefer. I plan to use it for a sail boat, so I like that the mount will screw down manually and allow me to tighten it as much as I need. The grip will go around a pole about 1 7/8" at the widest, and 9/16" at the narrowest. A 1/2" pole might be too narrow, depending on how much thickness the new silicone covers will add to the clamp. I have not tried it on a round pole that small, but you can also attach it to a flat and thin board using the tips of the clamp, so it depends on how you use it. Read more

This is an excellent product. I love how compact it is, despite how compact it is, it allows you to do a lot of different angles and staging. I use mine five out of seven days every single day multiple times a day, putting my phone in and out of it. It’s been roughly 2 years since I purchased it and it has just gotten to a point where the bottom bracket snapped from me over, tightening it and will no longer hold the phone. I have returned to buy another one because I’ve been very happy with it. Would recommend. Just be aware the constant use will wear it down so in a few years, it will probably break. NOTE FOR MANUFACTURERS: Try finding a way to reinforce the bottom bracket, and this would be able to last for 5 to 10 years. Read more

Not going to lie, I was a little skeptical going in but my risk paid off! Totally worth it. This is a great product and I highly recommend. I am not a friend of the product manufacturer nor was I paid for this review. This product is solid and sturdy-set it where you need it and it will stay there. This isn’t one of those plastic mounts that will break if you tighten one of the screws too tight, this one is made of metal. If you’re on the fence about this one just get it-you won’t be disappointed! Read more

It worked for a minute. The two balls that are clamped are nice steel balls with scoring on them. The problem is that the part they fit into and are clamped with, is made of soft cast aluminum. The scoring on the balls quickly reams out the aluminum clamping on them and very soon won't hold anymore. It's now basically junk. I think I'll try one of the kind that fit into the handle top on zuca carts. They seem to use a different mechanism. Read more

The rubber feet easily slide off (so while you can clamp down on something, you can easily pull the mount out of the rubber feet). I think we may have already lost one of the rubber feet in transit. Also the adjustment mechanism adjusts ALL elements at one time. You cannot set the verticle and then work on the horizontal. Once you unlock the adjustments the mount colapses like a rag doll making any placement you had a thing of the past. Read more
