I love itouchless trash cans. I realized after my first purchase with this company, I brought the wrong shape for my needs. I found the oval shape which is different from the square shaped trash can I brought originally only in the sense that when I go to dump trash from my standing dusting pan, there is no issue in getting the dust pan to properly empty in the can without it dumping outside the trash receptacle. I also upgraded in size because it’ll make it easier to dump a lot of trash out in one sitting. The odor filter does its job and when it opens and closes, the noise level is very minimal. This trash canis taller than my previous trash can so my cats can’t really play with by opening the can by activating the motion sensor. It also doesn’t have a locking mechanism like my last can. I used some la awesome to clean the stainless steel can and it quickly got rid of stains. I find it to be solidly built. If there is one thing I say is a negative is that there are holes in the bottom of the trash can, assuming they are there to filter out liquid when the trash bags break and you need to clean out the inside. If the bag bust out then the liquid falls on the kitchen floor until I can transfer to tub to clean it properly. It functions very well but I had to ask for a replacement lid since its giving me a hard time in closing the lid. It was promptly replaced now all I have to do is it operated by electricity. The media could not be loaded. For the first two months that I had this unit, half the time when I walked by it, it would open. The auto-open feature also made it impossible to place it in an enclosed space like behind a door, because this would keep the lid open permanently. I found an article that explains how the system works -- there are two little red circles, one emits infrared light and the other one looks for the signal returning back. If anything gets close enough to obstruct the visibility of the return signal, it triggers the door to open. So I used gaffer's tape to attach a small mirror as a shield in front. Now, I can wave above the can to open it, but walking by won't misfire. Photos and video attached! Docking a star for having to come up with that hack, and also because it's not level and doesn't have leveling feet, I had to use a shim. But I like the ring feature to hold the bag while concealing the edges. Overall it seems to be a sturdy, reliable unit. Read more

This is a great auto open garbage can, large capacity, battery powered with filter. I do recommend to purchase the power cord as well, although the batteries have lasted a good year or so, once they run out I will start using the plug. Read more

The can came well packaged and works as advertised. No dings or dents and looks awesome in my kitchen. I was drawn to this brand because it can be ac-powered and that is exactly how I connect, no batteries for me. Another feature I really appreciate is the plastic ring that hides the garbage bag from hanging out under the cover. I love the clean seamless look it affords.
