I live in Vegas. It is difficult to find bottoms that can be worn here in the summer. We can't wear long, flowing skirts because the wind will blow them over our heads. Leggings and jeans are too hot. Palazzo pants are OK, but they can look really boxy. These pants have shorts from mid-thigh up, so even if the wind blows them, people don't see more of our legs than they would if we were wearing shorts. They let in more air than palazzo pants. I tried the flowy, split leg, Palazzo pant in size medium. Not sure yet if I will keep the two pairs I purchased (sky blue and white) but I am for sure returning the white because it is too see-through. For taller girls above 5'8", this will be a capri length for you. Definitely not an ankle or maxi length. Totally comfortable, but not having pockets on the shorts for phone or keys is a huge swing and a miss for me. The tiny pocket at the back of the waistband is not sufficient for much more than a credit card or keys. You might be able to really squeeze a phone in there, but it's gonna stick out. This is a garment I would not feel comfortable in for a day of shopping or to go to a nice restaurant, Only because it shows so much leg, I might as well be running around in booty shorts or a tennis skirt. But it's suitable for poolside, beach, outings, cruise that kind of situation or lounging at home. Material is fairly see-through and is like a stretchy rayon. The drape is lovely. I bought these for a beach cover up. They are very cute and true to size. The spandex like shorts on the inside are a comfortable tight and stay in place. Very fast drying. My only issue is that they do not do well in the wind. I wore them on a very windy beach and the material kept flying in between my legs when I was walking and then my thighs would chafe which is what I was trying to prevent. To say I love these pants is an understatement. I’ve used them as a beach coverup, yoga pants and dressed them up for a night out. They are super stretchy, not see through at all, and are very breathable. I’m 5’4, 160ish lbs, and curvy. Bought a size large. I probably could have made a medium work, but I like having the extra wiggle room around the waste. The length is great as they are long enough but don’t drag on the ground. I do agree with some of the other reviews about the shorts hiking up, which was not the most comfortable on a windy beach walk. But I still love them. Only thing that would make it better is pockets! I purchased these for a vacation to Puerto Rico. I am 5'0 and 200# and I get very uncomfortable in warm climates. I also prefer to wear clothing items that prevent chafing. These are super airy and light. The built-in shorts are super comfy and stretchy. The waist band is nice and thick and supportive. I read a review that said to size up so I purchased an XXL. I definitely wish I would have stayed true to size and gotten an XL instead but I ordered another pair so I can alternate between the two. The XXL isn't super huge or anything but as I wear it throughout the day, it loosens up a bit. I absolutely love these and will wear them year-round because of how comfortable they are while making me feel pretty! Read more

I love the idea of this, as it looks like it brings elegance to any dance outfit. But… the way the waistband is sewn, it accentuates the tummy rather than smoothing it. If you have any tummy at all, these pants end up making it look bigger. Which is NOT elegant. A wider, more smoothing waistband would be helpful in order for this pant to look nice on all frames.
