I used this one full summer in an upstairs office (160 sq'). Not particularly quiet, but it cools the office on hot days and doesn't seem expensive to use. Read more

Awesome machine. I use it during the peak hours per our electric company, it’s saving me money! I highly recommend it if your electric bills are as high as mine were this past summer. A representative from our electric company told me it’s a good idea. Read more
I got this for my NYC studio and I’m very glad I did. Only reason I didn’t give it 5-statins because I do wish they had included the dimensions of the window adapter. My windows seem like normal windows however the size of adapter didn’t work for mine. If I just use the adapter without the additional extender it leaves an inch or 2 gap on each side in my window. If I use the sliding adapter piece it completely cover the hose opening/connection point because the slider is so long. Read more
Overall, small, quite and easy in every way. Bought 2 on sale during the winter. The boxes were destroyed in shipping, so didnt have high hopes. Finally hooked them up in minutes. One definitely seems to work a better than the other. However they seem to cool at this moment. Guess we'll wait for the 110° weather to move in. Only draw back was the vent for the window. Having a 100 year old house the windows are small. Thankfully had old unused floor vents. So vented it straight down. Which was actually perfect as the hail destroyed last year's window unit. After getting new windows installed in our house, we were not able to use our window air conditioner that is essential for our bedroom against the horrendous summer heat. I found this little guy that was a quick and easy installation. It was a necessary remedy that circumvented potential divorce. Our room stays at a constant temperature with the thermostat regulations abilities that are accessible either on the top of the unit or by remote. It also serves to give me a reading of the room temperature so I can unequivocally refute my husbands claims that the room is comfortable. Read more
I wasn't expecting it to be as loud as it is. Don't get me wrong, it works, it cools the room down, but it makes such loud noises like its trying to break apart. The package came banged up so maybe its damaged, but I was to tired to go through the return process all over again and try to buy another one. If you don't mind the sound of metal clicking or loud kerthunks anytime it turns on/off, it works fine. Does what its suppose to as far as I can tell, hasn't seemed to drain any water at all yet which is somewhat worrisome, but no issues other then the noise levels. Read more
I bought the 9000 BTU. It’s pretty powerful and seems to be quieter than other more expensive brands such as Midea. The best part about this unit is its size—it is compact, doesn’t look like a gigantic block in my living room, light, and easily wheeled. My only complaint is that the window panels didn’t fit my standard apartment window size. I have made do with a piece of foam and strong water proof tape. Overall for the price, and my sensitivity to sound, I love it so far. Read more
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Still only had for a week or two but so far so good. Cools my hot attic bedroom nicely. Pretty easy to install but I had to shave down the window slot cuz my window was too narrow for the piece given. Needed to use an electric saw. Read more
