When this sweater arrived I shamelessly tore open the package like a monkey jumping on a banana … and I had not one second of regret. It’s beautiful! The knit is velvety soft (with no itchy tag) and perfect for layering over a cami or a tee, and the gray color has a heathered look to it for depth and subtle texture that’s hard to see in the product pics. As far as the weight of the knit goes there’s enough to drape nicely without being clingy, and it doesn’t bulk you up. For reference, I’m a size 14 in Old Navy tops and I ordered an XL in this cardy to allow for layering — a good call! The everyday price point of this sweater is ridiculously amazing, and when you factor in frequently offered coupons, it’s even more of a ridiculously amazing bargain. My favorite thing about this cardigan? You can wear it open and treat it like a blazer, or button it up and you’ve got yourself a pull-over, level it up with slacks or a skirt, or dress it down with jeans and booties. This sweater arrived vacuumed packed as flat as a pancake. I hoped it would fluff up after opening but it still feels incredibly thin. Like really thin. The button holes are not cut quite large enough and I felt like I was going to tear the knit as I was pushing the buttons through. Overall it looks cute on and it is soft, but the fit is boxy and it’s probably the thinnest and lowest quality cardigan in this style I’ve ever owned. I didn’t feel cute wearing it and it just felt cheap. You’re better off buying something from a box store. Read more
