Wife here! I got these today. I am between sizes, 6 and 8, 146 pounds and I got the Medium. I would say that it fits like a size 6. It has an elastic band around the waist so it can be more snug or stretch if you need it. The label reads that it is 70% polyester and 30% cotton. I am at that age where I read the labels before I buy and I think this product said that it had more cotton content. I don't think I would have purchased if I had known it was 70% polyester BUT they are soft, fit great, and are a great price! I will get another pair in a different color. These pants fit true to size (I used the size chart). The style is more bowlegged than it appears in the pictures, but it can be styled well or rolled up at the bottom if you want a more casual look. I saw these and I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to order them at first. I'm between a pear and hourglass shape (depending on how my body decides to behave that day). When I was a kid growing up in the 80s I HATED corduroy. So while I loved the style of these pants, I was iffy about the fabric. I'm glad I decided to buy them. Being pear/hour glass shape, I tend to have a smaller waist but my hips/thighs are bigger. Barrel pants are almost always a great choice since they are wider around the trouble areas. I guess I've grown out of my "I hate corduroy phase" because the fabric was soft and not too heavy. They're cute and comfortable enough that I would definitely wear them all day with no problem. As for sizing, that was probably my biggest concern while ordering. I'm 5'6" 142 lbs. My waist is a 31 1/2 (I measured before I bought them) which would have put me in the large category (which is what Amazon suggested). I waivered a little and since I don't look like the model in the pictures, I decided to size up to the XL. I'm glad I did because if I hadn't, they would have been too tight. Because I'm aware of the sizing issues with some product made in Asia, I ordered a size larger than I normally do when what I should have done was to order two sizes larger. These pants were more like a small/medium. If the sizing hadn't been off, I would have loved these pants - the cordruroy is soft, the length is perfect, and the pockets adequate. Read more
