I was a little worried, based on some of the reviews I read, but this leash is great! It's so nice to have my hands free to hold onto the railing as we head down the stairs, get out treats, hold my kids' hands, the list goes on. I also like that it frees my hands up for if I need to defend myself or my dog against one of the many dogs that roam free, uncollared and unleashed, in my neighborhood. My arm feels much more comfortable not having to reach out in front of me, and it feels much more secure not having a leash that could be dropped or pulled out of my hand. Also I'm less likely to be pulled over with the better center of gravity that this leash provides. I use the rectangular loop at the top of the leash (near the waist belt) to pull the knot of my used, tied off poo bags through on the walk, so that I don't have to carry them. I wanted to try this for a while to write a review. But from the first day, I felt like I found a whole new world! Because my dobie loves to lead me and guide me back to home, my hands and arms get sore after our walk. But since this leash has two retractable parts, it helps not only to reduce tension but also pull "back" from my puppy's pulling strength!!! When the leash itself does its job just good enough, the belt part is just a wow. It is perfect for my dobie who has no middle speed for my joggingg (She either walks or runs). I can tell she checks my speed!! (don't tell me I'm too heavy to pull 😆🤣) Oh and the handles on the leash helps a lot when there are people walking by. I used to wrap the leah around my hands to shorten it with other products. But now I just grab the handles to control!! So this is a WOW leash for those with determined strong pups!! It is very sturdy overall even with one elastic inside of the scrunch part is stretched a little! I noticed it on my first or second day but it is good until now and it will be for at least next couple years I guess. And even if not, I'm going to buy this product again for sure!! This belt/leash combo is my favorite one so far. We have multiple dogs and every member of the family has a belt. This one is mine. I Like it because it has 2 rings to hook up to so I can keep the dogs untangled. The double handle is nice for when I need to shorten their leads. If my dogs could talk they would tell you they like the bungees the best, it gives them extra room to explore. I like the bungee too because it has just enough stretch that I can correct without tugging on them. The clasps at each end were an intentional buy so we can swap them the leashes to other belts easily. I believe theres plenty of length to use the belt as a cross body. Hands down the best thing ever to use. Made of good material, sturdy amd durable. Waist harness has a plastic buckle amd a safety lock. Also 2 D rings to attach the leash for an extra safety precaution. The leash itself is very well made. With 2 handles for reeling in your pet. Also has 2 sections of bungee for a little bit of play when running or jogging so you dont get pulled. All in all great product. Now i can walk my dog and have my hands free for other stuff. Fantastic product. This waist leash has been a game changer for walking. You have no idea how much for convenient it is to be hands free until you try it! I also love that there are multiple attachment points to make the leash shorter of longer. When we’re just cruising around on our way to the park, I give my little guy the full lead, but if we need to enter a building I put it on the shortest setting and he stays right on my hip.
