Great Shades That I Keep Reaching For

These are my second pair of IZIPIZI sunglasses, and I really like them as casual, everyday pairs. I already knew I liked the brand, but this Journey rectangular style has even better coverage and, unlike my other pair, they are polarized, which is a big plus. They look great on, with a shape that feels sporty without being too aggressive. Coverage is solid, so I do not feel like I am squinting around the edges or getting blasted from the sides. The grey polarized lenses do a nice job cutting glare, which makes them especially good for driving and being out in bright light. The quality is exactly what I expect from IZIPIZI at this price point. They are well made, comfortable, and feel sturdy enough for regular use, but I would not throw them into the same category as a three hundred dollar pair of high end designer sunglasses. And that is fine, because that is not what I bought them for. These live firmly in the “good, not precious” category, which makes me more likely to actually wear them and enjoy them. They come with a nice felt case, which is a small touch but appreciated. It makes it easy to toss them in a bag or glove compartment without worrying about scratching them right away. Fit is comfortable and secure and very lightweight. They sit well on my face without squeezing too tightly or sliding off, and they work well for long wear without bothering me behind the ears or on the bridge of my nose. From a value standpoint, I think they are awesome if you enjoy having a variety of good, not super high end sunglasses. They look great, they perform well, and you are not paying luxury prices. I do not put these in the same category as a three hundred plus dollar pair, but they absolutely earn their keep in my rotation. I highly recommend these if you want stylish, polarized, everyday sunglasses that look and feel much nicer than cheap gas station pairs, without the stress of babying a luxury brand. Read more

High End Lightweight Sunglasses

So these are some high end shades. With a slightly larger than normal frame build, the glasses feel both modern and classic at the same time. I'm not usually a fan of bigger frames, but the sculpt of the design keeps them from looking like welder's glasses. They're rectangular, but with slightly softer curves. More rectangle than circle...they're just cool. The matte polymer is unlike any other shades in my collection. It is semi translucent, giving the frames some depth. It's not a solid piece of hazel tinted plastic. You see the subtle highs and lows at different angles. NOTE: The lenses are very shiny. Not a ski goggle high gloss, but coated more heavily than your drugstore spinning rack sunglasses. It's due to the combination of UV coating and anti-scratch...which is worth the extra shine. The green/grey lenses are also the perfect tint to accent the frames. I was nervous that no flex hinges would be an issue, but these glasses fit securely. They have slightly curved temples that hold them in place without giving you a headache. They won't crush the sides of your head, thanks to being ridiculously lightweight. I mean...lightweight to the point where you may forget you're wearing them. The lightest glasses I own. The non-flex hinges are tight. The entire build just feels high end. My only callout would be the lack of a hard sided case for storage. Yes, they come bagged inside a strong, heavy cardstock box, but that's inconvenient for traveling around the city. My personal made up rule is that any sunglasses over $50 should come with a solid protective case. But maybe that's just me. Either way, it didn't cost them a star - and they are still awesome. They look super cool, are really well designed and don't look like dime store shades. Would totally recommend putting these on your face. Read more

Lightweight and classic design

The IZIPIZI Journey impressed me above all with its technical design. The rectangular frame is made of a lightweight yet sturdy polymer that is barely noticeable when worn. The temples are flexible enough to adapt comfortably to the head without creating pressure points – a significant advantage during extended activities. The lenses offer UV category 3 protection and reliably filter sunlight without significantly altering color perception. The tint is even and effectively reduces glare, especially on asphalt or water surfaces. Even in changing light conditions, the view remains clear and pleasantly high-contrast. The field of vision is naturally somewhat narrower than with wraparound models, but it is perfectly adequate for most sporting activities. The glasses sit securely, do not slip, and remain well-balanced even during movement. The workmanship is excellent: no sharp edges, smooth material transitions, and solid hinges. Visually, the Journey maintains a deliberately simple aesthetic – a sporty, modern design that doesn't look overly technical and can be easily worn every day. Conclusion: A technically sound, lightweight, and comfortable pair of sports sunglasses with reliable UV protection and good optical performance. Ideal for anyone looking for sporty sunglasses with clean lines and a design suitable for everyday wear. Read more

Stylish and work great!

These shades are sweet; they are simple and stylish. They have a nice light brown color kind of like brown soda, or I think the come in a nice matt black, they also have a nice shape. They are light weight and sit nicely on my face. They didn't pinch my nose or temples, and they also didn't slide down like some other pairs I have owned. The glasses look is a good one for both men and women and can be paired with lots of different styles. The polarization was great! It did a great job of cutting down the glare of bright sunshine, without making it feel like my vision was hindered. They do a great job in the bright sun and are the kind that you can wear indoors without being blind. I don't usually spend this much on sunglasses, but these ones seem to be good value. I am very pleased with them so far! Read more
