I had to replace our rental home lights after our tenant damaged the prior ones. I wanted bright, functional, easy to install, and simple yet modern. And of course. Not crazy expensive. Every light I saw that would work was either the wrong size or too expensive to buy for each bathroom. But these fit the bill. They installed quickly and fairly easily. They look great! I used daylight bulbs since it’s a bathroom and brightness is key for getting ready in the morning. Very happy! They seem well made! I like them and even my picky husband was happy! The lights I replaced were similar but about twice the price. So these were within my budget and don’t look cheap or chinsy despite their price being lower! Would absolutely buy again. Just finished installing this light fixture and want to share a few thoughts. The house came with just the 2 ceiling mounted LEDs which was pretty pathetic for lighting at the mirror. Searched my go to store and saw this one. The fixture looked pretty nice - kind of basic which is what I wanted. My main initial question was will 7 lamps be too many? I think it came out OK and like the way the fixture fills the whole width of the mirror. Installation wasn't too bad. No previous light fixture there so had to improvise. Tried 75W (equivalent) LEDs and that was too bright. Then put in 65W. I used the Home Depot EcoSmart that are color temperature switchable set at 3000K. Read more
This is a nice fixture, it took a little bit to setup. The main thing for me was my electrical box in the wall was not centered and there was a PVC pipe in the wall directly center so I couldn't move the box. The solution was to look for a fixture that covered a large area of the wall. This one ended up working out. The mounting plate, I totally lucked out on, it's 13 in wide and the box was about 6-7 in off center. One side of the mounting plate screwed into the box and the other side with wall anchors, centered dead on. Fixture looks great and seems to be of decent quality. I like the light fixture. Was pretty easy to put together and install, especially for someone who is not experienced in this type of thing. The installation video below the product was helpful too. I would suggest that the mounting bracket design have more of a "lip" on it where you place the fixture onto the bracket from the top, so that it will hold the fixture in place while you grab the scews and screw driver. This was a tricky situation with just one person trying to install stretched across a cabinet ( no countertop) base, on a ladder, holding light fixture with one hand, maintaining that the holes are lined up, and trying to grab a screw and screw driver with the other hand. After some curse words and some prayers, I managed to finally get it! The light works and looks great! Read more
