Best i have ever used besides my one that just died that I had for 15 years. This photo is with no hairspray and freshly washed the night before. I have naturally tighter curly hair, thick and long. It’s a great styling tool, very easy to use and I’m happy with it. Super convenient. With that said, I have serious reservations about the accuracy of the temperature gauge. Hard to prove that it’s not correct, but just as someone who has curled my hair for 15+ years, I know how my hair responds to certain temperatures. I noticed right away using this on heat setting of about 280 degrees that it curled very well….. too well. Normally at a 280 degree temp, my hair would need pretty small sections and holding it against the barrel for a long time. There’s just no way. I was worried that perhaps the temperature gauge was entirely false and just something to draw people in to purchasing, but that’s not the case thankfully. I used this a second time on the lowest heat setting of 180 degrees and noticed a major difference in how quickly it curled and I could feel the barrel and tell that it was barely even too hot to touch, which is about how 180 should be. So, I do think there is a difference between the heat settings - it is not a total lie - but this is also far from accurate. Just to be safe, I’d highly recommend that you use a very good heat protectant and use the lower heat settings, especially for fine-haired girls like me. I do also find the buttons to be annoying. When you’re wrapping your hair, it’s really hard to find a good place to hold the styler without accidentally pressing the buttons. Still, I would absolutely recommend the product. so I have never used a curling one before and I'm new to extensions and I wanted something to be able to curl it to blend my shorter layers with the longer layers. I wasn't sure what size I wanted to get in this ended up being perfect because of the variety of barrels. switching them is super duper easy and this was my first time using it and as you can see it's far from perfect but that's user error LOL it comes with the heat safe glove, use it. it gets hot. it has two different heat settings. I used the hottest and the curls stayed for 2 days. of course after sleeping with the girls I had to touch a few up but couldn't ask for more. if something from customer service could reach out I would appreciate it. I might send a message. one of my barrels had a dent in it and it's the one I've been using on my daughter for dance so I would like to see about a replacement for that one barrel in particular but other than that it's great. I would recommend it to anybody that is looking for a good quality barrel on a budget. you really can't beat it. plus it's pretty LOL and it comes with a storage bag that zips up to store all of your different stuff! 2nd degree burn from split second touch to my forearm while using on lowest setting. Otherwise works well. Wear long sleeves while using. Not for kids. It really hurts. Thats my skin you see peeling at bottom of photo. It is a deep enough burn to get infected. Read more
