Very good for the price. All around well made and comfortable in the hand. I have seen much more expensive knives that were made less carefully. They are sharp out of the box, and function well in cutting and chopping. Good geometry and grind in the blades. One very minor issue I had was the handle had sharp edges that I found a bit uncomfortable. But that is easily fixed with a bit of sandpaper. Considering that is the only noticeable flaw, I consider them very impressive at the price. I do find the selection a little peculiar as a set. The gyuuto, and kiritsuke, are similar enough that they have little difference in functionality. If I were carefully putting a set together, I might swap the kiritsuke with a petty. Read more
