I’m so glad my friend suggested this matcha brand. It’s fresh, it’s smooth, and it’s just really easy to enjoy. When I first opened the pack, the bright green color and the soft, fine texture made me feel like I picked a good one❤️ Read more

So, this was my first time trying Matcha, and I found a recipe for an Iced Matcha Latte with a touch of honey. I’ve got to say — this drink is fantastic! Refreshing, healthy, and honestly something I could see myself enjoying regularly. I made mine with regular milk, but I’m planning to try almond milk next time to mix things up. The color, aroma, and taste were pleasantly balanced — still that signature “green” vibe, but not overly earthy like some other blends I’ve tried (a definite plus!). Overall, great flavor, good price, and solid quality. I think I’ve found a new favorite! Read more

This matcha is incredibly smooth, vibrant, and full of fresh flavor—it’s clear it’s high-quality and authentically sourced. I love that it blends easily into both lattes and smoothies, with no bitterness and a naturally calming effect. The rich green color and clean ingredients make it feel like a true treat that's also good for you. Plus, the eco-friendly packaging is a thoughtful touch that keeps it fresh and easy to use every day. Read more

I drink matcha every day and I’ve tried many different brands of ceremonial matcha. By far, this is one of the poor quality ceremonial grade matcha I’ve had. It smells musty. It has barely any aroma. It tastes very bitter. It is expensive for what it is. Disappointed. Read more

When I mix this with water, I get a bright green color which shows the freshness of this matcha powder. Taste is decent, not the best I have tasted but also not bad for the price point. Read more

This brand of 100g of Liyu's organic and natural ceremonial grade matcha comes in a resealable foil/plastic pouch. The color is not as bright green as some of the canister brands that I've ordered, but still looks good with no off putting odors in its raw state. I will agree that the initial paste I make before adding more water does have a more "earthy" smell to it - not necessarily fishy as some have described, but definitely more earthy. I make afternoon lattes, so when 170 deg water is added, it's not as smooth as my best matcha brand, but it's not bad. So yes, it has a slightly bitter taste with 170 deg water. I will say, though, that it froths up quite nicely with a whisk and has a nice bright green color to it that is signature ceremonial matcha. Once I add my steamed milked with a dash of vanilla extract and a bit of stevia, it makes a perfect cup of latte. Overall, I can't complain much about this brand as it makes a decent cup of matcha latte for me in the afternoons. You quite quite a bit more for the same price that you would for a small canister, so it's a pretty good value at the currently discounted price of just under $24. I like my canister grade just a bit more in flavor, but I get about 1/3 the volume of this brand so it's a toss up. If you are drinking straight matcha with no milk, you might not like this one as much. However, if you are making latte, this works great. Read more

I am not a matcha tea expert, but I think this is a decent matcha. I have definitely had better match tea, but I have also had worse. Packaging says that it is of Japanese origin and is USDA organic. Froth's well when used with a handheld frother. Has a UPC so it isn't a "Amazon only" brand. Comes in a resealable bag for keeping it fresh. Expiration is in November of 2026, so it has a decent shelf life. I've had better matcha before, but this is a good value considering you get 100g of matcha powder. Read more
