I didn't read thoroughly and was pleasantly surprised when they came with two genuine Ball canning jars. I bought this for the lids, which are really nice quality. This would be a five star item for me, but the lids only coming in black was an automatic one star deduction for me. The rest of our bathroom accessory decor is oil rubbed bronze. However, this was the only Mason jar type of container I could find in a taller size. I needed the extra height to hold disposable mascara wands, which my eye doctor recommended that I use. The size is great. There may be an anomaly in the manufacture of the larger jar, because a set that I bought of jar lids in the oil rubbed bronze finish don't fit. Close, but no cigar. Disappointing.
