This product does as it states. Also if the individual moves the mouth device around rather than just in the front, when chewing or putting pressure down or together in the exercise, it is possible to reach more muscles. This changing position of the device also use the benefit of different angles allowing for more thorough muscular stimulation. In order for this device to Increase the definition, strength, and size of the muscles in the face and jaw, I would also say the neck muscles, one must be prepared to do the work which I have found requires daily use for 1 hour. Results with this device or are tied directly to the extent of time one does the exercise or exercises if the individual changes the positions of the device. For those who have done other resistant work I would say this is an area of muscles that responds very similarly to the muscles in the calves. Which means it requires high repetitions and also the ability to progressively become stoic to more and more uncomfort as the repetitions increase. I did not find much of the results stated within the advertising until I began to work with device for one hour per day. Then it has taken a good period of time at that rate to notice differences. I do believe if I continue to use this device as I am now I will continue to see further results. Another tip, I suggest the individual does a chin tuck first and then does the squeeze within the mouth on the device. The reason for this is that it will make sure you are working the muscle groups while they are in line with each other. If you do 50% of your daily repetitions that way and 50% with your head tilted slightly back you will be doing a pretty thorough job. Repetitions did not work for me, because they took away from the focus required to make sure each repetition counts. I found using a stopwatch The best method. I also found that you can break the hour up throughout the day and still continue to get positive results. However, each one of the separate sessions must last long enough that you begin to feel the muscles involved are beginning to tire. Next, is the intensity of the squeeze. Light squeezes will get light results if any. You do want to work progressively toward an intense exercise, one that is pushing with the upper teeth down while the lower teeth are pressing up. While doing the exercise in front of the mirror you should look to see that the muscles are working. If you move the device around as I suggested you will see other muscles begin to work. Finally, if you use this device and are going to put one hour in a day there is a way to make this a more compound exercise that will also work as suggested earlier including the neck muscles and in addition your posture. You can make it work the muscles in the back that are responsible to hold the shoulders back. This means you are doing a exercise that not only works facial muscles but those muscles responsible for good posture. Here is the method: start with the chin tuck then squeeze on the device progressively as you squeeze your shoulder blades in the back together and hold them together as long as you are doing the exercise. Once you are done squeezing The peace together , which I would suggest you squeeze down and hold at least every other rep for a count of 10, then come out of the exercise backwards from the way you came in releasing the shoulder squeeze then releasing the squeeze on the device in the mouth and then allowing the chin to come to its natural position. You can spice it up a bit and this will allow you to target weaker areas on some days more thoroughly...if you change the sequence here is the second method: squeeze the mouthpiece first thoroughly then do the chin tuck as you continue to squeeze and then do the shoulder blade squeeze bringing the two shoulder blades toward each other in the back. Once again release the entire sequence backwards. The material and size of the devices worked and still works well for me however, it might be too big or too small for others to get the maximum benefit of the exercise. The set has worked well for me starting with the least dense of the devices and moving toward the more dense or the more difficult to use. This is a solid resistance method. I found putting the mouthpiece on a lanyard so that when I can I leave it around my neck under my shirt in order to spread my hour out over the day more easily. Having the device where you are is important. Throughout the day unless you do your hour at one time you will find places in your day that you could do them but not have the device cnveniently close enough, and I think this can be a major human error. It is important to remember that loss of body fat requires aerobic exercise regardless of where the fat is. These devices will the muscles mentioned to tighten, strengthen and even build them larger. If done a method suggested it will also work the three muscles that run in the front of your neck on each side. What this can't do, and I do not think they claim so, is to get rid of the fat if that is part of your problem. If you do not do any aerobics and or change your diet, and both is best, you may build these muscles but not be able to appreciate the aesthetics because of fat in the area. I suggest these devices for those who are motivated to do what this product suggests it can do and I have found it does. The person specifically who will do the best is willing to take a few hints out of this including working out with this device: one hour a day either at one time or spread out and whenever possible placing it on a lanyard around your neck so it is convenient when you want to use it. I purchased the set to even out the strength of my jaw muscles. For about a year I had a wisdom tooth that was causing me some pain. It wasn't excruciating, but it was enough to make me avoid chewing on the right side of my mouth. After I got the wisdom tooth removed and my gums healed, I noticed that when I would eat food, the right side of my jaw would become sore from chewing. Basically my right jaw muscles were weaker than my left. So I got this jaw exercising set to hopefully even out my jaw strength. I definitely think these things work to help build jaw strength as I've been using them regularly and now my jaw feels almost even. I personally haven't noticed any difference visually in my jaw and no one has commented on any change so I can't speak to the results of how this might tone your jaw visually. I think these were a bit pricey for what they are, lack and they lack durability especially given the price. I've been using them medium strength one Aunt after about 2 weeks. I can see where my teeth are already cutting into the silicone at the point where you bite down. I am still able to use the piece but I don't know how much longer it'll last.
