This is a great Bluetooth speaker. It's pretty loud, though it does drain the battery more quickly the louder you play it. I had it up fairly loud (adjust the volume on your phone, too) and was getting about 4.5 hours of play out of it. It charges pretty quickly, and if you don't need it on your body/bag, you can play it while it charges. I've not tried to test the "splashproof" design yet, though. The clip is sturdy and easy to use. It pairs more quickly with my phone than my car stereo does - as soon as both are on, it pairs! The sound is good - yes, audiophiles, I'm sure there's better. It's great quality device for the price. Very well made and sturdy. For such a small compact design the sound is great definitely considering the price. A good tip is to listen to music and audio in the highest quality you can, like 320 bitrate or higher. It makes a huge difference with a speaker like this. Another tip is to buy manufacture certified refurbished, it will cut the price in half and each device is rigorously tested by an actual human being before it's shipped out. Here are my experiences: A solution to the BATTERY issue!!! *You need to TURN ON then TURN OFF the device after every charge! It seems like the device will not automatically turn off after charge, and it does not seems to be on at the same time (the light indicator was off after charge). I left my device on the table after unplug it from the charger, and it drained during the afternoon. This happened a couple times. So I did a little research and found a customer suggested to turn on then turn off the device. IT WORKS!! *The RED charging light will NOT turn blue. I tried switch the charger, increase the charging time, and nothing happened. I asked the JBL customer service regarding this issue. They said it's not defective and you should get a full charge after two hours no matter what color is the light indicator. Overall, this is a great little speaker. Outstanding little speaker. Great sound at all volumes and I really like the clip for attaching to things. Battery life depends on volume but lasts longer than expected. I use it at work and low volume lasts all shift and high is around 4 hours. Connects easy via Bluetooth. Comes with a charger cable that is around 8 inches long. Great sound with excellent base response for such a small speaker. I'll give it five stars for sound quality but only one or two stars for battery life so I averaged it out at three. To be fair, I use it at its maximum volume all the time and I will admit that it is loud even by my standards which may have something to do with the (at least to me) seemingly short battery life before I need to recharge it. A significant plus, however, is that I can still use it even while it is plugged in and charging. All in all I would recommend it. Read more
Very good sound! Especially for the size and price! These are so loud I could hear them loud n clear two rooms away! It’s super portable and will be perfect on our float trips! The bass could be a little better but that really makes no difference in my satisfaction with this! Read more
Decent speaker, used it in the rain and had no problems, not loud enough for me. The reason for the 1 star review is because I just fully charged it then went out for a run using it for 30 minutes then it died. The battery is terrible. Read more
The sound is pretty damn good for a speaker that will fit in my pocket, took it to the beach and my homie brought one of the big speakers and mine over powered his, so you could say i won.. butttt the thing is really bad with charging, like it doesnt take a full charge, basically tells itself to stop charging, and this was from the jump when i bought it. Turns off on the regular for no damn reason only to have me walk back to it, boot it up again, and it play for 40 more minutes, only to repeat the process.. cool ass little speaker, turrrrrrible battery.
