What makes this speaker so much better than the others, in my opinion, is its ability to play great sounding music at relatively low volumes? The bass at low volumes is accurate and full the sweet spot can be achieved at very low volumes. The music is both full and accurate. I was not impressed at is ability to play at louder volumes. That is not saying it is not loud because it is but the clarity leaves something to be desired. If you plan to blast it then you might be happier with something else. If you are in a small office then you will love this dock it looks and sounds awesome. I would have like a few more buttons like skip to the next track and pause or maybe even a remote but you cannot beat this at less than $100 the next best thing will cost you at least $400. Read more
This speaker works very well - the bass sounds awesome for such compact device. Both docking port and Bluetooth work great. I was able to dock my iPod in it's shell, just not with the larger cover that I use for working out. The only drawback is that I use this for music at my desk at work and the volume gets loud FAST. I've scared a couple coworkers with the boom by accidently switching it on when the volume was up. :-) It would be perfect for a cookout or deck party. As all JBL speakers, this one has an outstanding sound, powerfull bass, clear midrange and very bright high levels. The bluetooth is simple and easy to manage, it works very well with any music software on my 4S iphone. Actually, in Bluetooh mode the standard iphone software works better thant JBL Musicflow in this box. No sound trade off while connected via Bluetooth. Definitely, this equipement surpasses by far Bose key competitor in sound and versatility performance, and -- by the way -- at one third of the Bose price.- Read more
Disappointed that this speaker consistently loses connection with Bluetooth connection and system intermittently powers off while playing. I would not recommend even though the sound is very nice for the size. Read more

Good day, Just wanted to inform you that the product has amazing Peak Music Power Output or P.M.P.O. However I was not happy as the Ipod dock was always open can not be close. If it is mentioned on the product details I should not order this item, anyhow I'm a kind of a honest person, I am extending this message to you so that in the near future your will cease and double check your product prior to send to your clients. i just bought the jbl on beat,,this sounds good, but the sound that im lookin for is not that loud but for its price its really worth,its the mid freq that I want to hear,,sumtyms its dificult to connect tru bluetooth its because u gonna make sure u r connected tru stereo audio of ur audio source (ipod, ipad, iphone or any laptop),,never connect tru audio gateway or hands free audio in ur bluetooth source otherwise the sound wont come out to the JBL onbeat,,,but no matter what for any reasons,,i wud relly recomend this speaker to buy,,to anyone of u s lookin to a bluetooth speaker,cumon the stock s running out low too fast,take it b4 it goes back to its regular price,, Read more
