The only drawbacks are that it’s heavy, so carrying it around can be a bit of a workout, and the wheels are kind of skinny, so if the surface isn't perfectly flat, it can flip over. But if you're able to manage those things, it performs well overall. All in all, if you're looking for a powerful, reliable speaker for outdoor events like baseball games, this is a solid choice. This speaker is absolutely perfect. I debated getting the 710 but unless you specifically are wanting to use it for massive 50+ people parties, this speaker is perfect for more moderately sized parties and just casual listening. I don’t host parties but was wanting a nice speaker and this was perfect. The 710 is not nearly as portable since it requires to always be plugged in to work. Battery life is super good, as advertised. The sound quality is insane and the bass boost adds so much thump. The lights are customizable and sync with the music. What makes this speaker so good is the quality of sound and quality of a speaker for the price. Some pro tips, place the speaker right up against a wall or in a corner to maximize bass. Use the EQ found in the app for a personal sound experience. Bonus: use the speaker not just for music! This Speaker is AMAZING!!!. I first experienced this speaker on a commercial ship. I was so impressed that i bought one for my home. I use it inside and outside. Very well built, durable, easy to move about with the collapsible handle built in wheels. great sound with easy pushbutton controls for sound quality. Has an eight hour battery life. Sounds and looks great. Super loud. JBL never disappoints. The Bluetooth lets me go about 30-50 yds before it starts to cut out. Love this thing. Got it on sale. It’s pricey, but you get what you pay for. The battery lasts me at least 6 hours. I think I’ve gone 8 a time or two. It seems A LITTLE louder when it’s plugged in. The app for it lets you play around with the lights and an equalizer. The karaoke mode is decently fun to play with. Would buy again. I don’t think I’ll need another speaker for quite some time. Not sure if you can find one better than this in this price range. It is just a little heavy. But I’m not trying to take the thing to the beach. I have a JBL flip for that.
