So glad I finally splurged & got this renewed speaker at an excellent discounted price. This thing is LOUD, folks! I’ve yet to exceed even half-volume inside, but that gets our windows rattling & would ABSOLUTELY warrant a visit from the cops, IF we lived anywhere but the middle of nowhere. Woop! We will have to test max volume outside next summer, (I’m almost scared😆) but 100% confident it will sound GREAT! I’d been looking for something to remind me of my 20s spent in Chicago clubs & this is IT! I appreciate the simple design; just a few buttons, an optional slot to prop a device on top & a power cord. Love the wheels & handle for easier portability. It’s heavy & I’d recommend using a dolly or getting a friend to help move it up/down any stairs. The lights are more of a “nice-to-have” feature to me. They’re very pretty & can be customized via the JBL Partybox app, which I also love that we can completely control every aspect of the speaker via the app! I wish JBL offered speakers just like this, sans all the lights & other “party features”, for those of us that don’t want/need anything but a speaker. The dj sound effects are silly IMO, but that’s just me. We won’t ever use them. We usually keep the lights off too, unless people come over. Before I bought this, I made the mistake of getting a couple much smaller, approx $60 ea. wireless Bluetooth speakers, hoping for something close to this level of sound, but that was stupid. After that experience I HIGHLY recommend not getting anything wireless, as they simply cannot hold a charge for a decent amount of time at a reasonably loud volume, EVEN while plugged in. It’s just too much power output to expect it to last, & I understand that now. I love that this doesn’t even have a wireless feature. It puts out BIG power & it therefore needs to be plugged in at all times to support that power output. Fine with me! Buy it! You will smile the moment you turn it on & start turning it up, up, UP! My first song was “Purple Hat” by Sofi Tukker.👌🏻👌🏻 All night dance party at my place! Read more

I'm a bodybuilder and put this in my home gym, upgrading from a ~12-year-old Klipsch speaker that is around 1/100th the size of this behemoth. When it came, I was stunned at how large it was, even after watching dozens of YouTube videos prior to buying it... it's like a Panzer tank equipped with a bass radiator. Man, that'd be a lot better than this. Heil bass! I haven't turned this speaker up past 1/3 of the way on the volume bar, I feel like the mirrors would shatter and I'd slip into a tetragram of space/time like in that funny space propaganda movie "Interstellar." Space is fake by the way, we can't get through the firmament, you should look into Operation High Jump and Operation Fishbowl (get it, fishbowl, like we're living in an enclosed system)/ Anyways, this speaker blew my mind, almost as much as when I learned the earth has never been proven to rotate, and no optical or material forensic testing has ever certified an inch of curvature. I mean, the bass hits so hard, I feel like that guy who invented the funny theory of gravity, the magical force that makes some things stick to stuff and other things float and spin around. Gravity, the fairy dust of theoretical physics and astronomy that was literally invented as "special" (emphasis on the special, lol) relativity, to explain away the aether and the magnetic realm we live on that uses electromagnetism, density, and buoyancy to explain why things float and fall. If you're looking for a real-life sound stage, this speaker isn't for you. I mean, this is all about having seizures from flashing LEDs and having your heart skip beats by trying to mimic the 20hz lowwwwwww down BOOM BOOMS! Man, this thing puts out, and I don't mean like Ghislaine Maxwell, I mean like, it puts out a lot of air movement as those speakers go WOMP WOMP. The app is a pretty crazy piece of tech, and works well, just like the JBL headphone app (I have those too). Speaking of amazing tech, did you know the allies stole the tech from Germany following 1945 for what literally became a cloned bomber known as the B2? LOL, they were so far advanced, we stole their stuff over half-a-century ago, and it became "our" most advanced war tech. Classic. But seriously, if you want to crank up some BANGERS and feel the bass in your brain stem, like someone's plucking it like a harp (not HAARP, the facility that the US Govt funds that create weather by using admitted chemtrails and shooting 1-trillion watt lasers into the atmosplane to ionize the water molecules). If I thought long and hard about it, I could think of 6 million more reasons why this JBL 710 PartyBox is a party, in a box... but after giving it some more thought, I'd honestly only be able to come up with about 280,000 documented reasons... If you need 1 powerful speaker with 4 combined tweeters and woofers in an 8-hundred-watt array, then buy this refurbished or on sale, because the original $800 price tag is too much. Read more

So I initially ordered one speaker and was absolutely floored as to how sturdy, rugged but stylish, solid but easily mobile, and most important the sound quality is spot on. The bass is WAY too much for indoors because it shakes any wall-hanging items right out of the room lol. The light show and options are pretty cool and using the app makes all of it pretty seamless. One speaker indoors is definitely overkill, so the fact that I liked the speaker so much that I ordered a 2nd one is kinda nuts :). As a pair, the outdoor party is as good as one could hope for when not at a professional concert. You can literally turn the volume all the way max and there's zero distortion (except for your ear drums if too close). Read more

I absolutely love this speaker. I bring it every weekend to my neighborhood pool and everyone loves it. I’m an audiophile and have a particular obsession with portable speakers. I’ve had speakers of all different sizes and manufacturers. The small portable speakers from JBL, Bose, Anker, etc are good for what they are. This speaker is an obvious trade of portability for sound quality. Even at low volumes, the fullness of the sounds is dramatically noticeable. This is not a speaker I would take out for an hour or two, but if I’m planning a full day out with friends at the pool or on the beach, this is a game changer. It really does create a party. I will also note that this speaker does not have a built in battery. I purchased a separate product from Anker called the Solix C1000 - basically a car battery sized power bank that will power the speaker, along with any phones, or other small devices all day. The marriage of the JBL speaker and the C1000 has been working phenomenally and will keep the party going from dusk til dawn. 100% recommend. Read more
