I am a “party cyclist” and carry 3 JBL speakers. 2 x pulse 4 and 1 x extreme 3 (hangs off the handle bars) and I’ve ridden the entire 2024 season with these and they are great! Pro - Crazy durable acrylic! I’ve had one of the pulse 4 speakers fall off my mount while riding over 20 mph on paved trail…it bounced and skidded for a hundred feet and barely any scratches. The pulse 4 fits some water bottle holders (Velcro strap kind but not normal ones). Battery on JBL in general is fantastic. I can do a 8 hr, 100 mile party ride and still have about 10% left. You don’t get that with speakers like megaboom! light show is super fun and a requirement for me! Light show colors and patterns can be customized. I ride in the rain and snow and no issues ever! Cons - When connected in party mode with my extreme 3, you get a basic EQ setting and I can’t use my custom heavy bass settings for my extreme 3. App is a pain, can’t turn on and off like a megaboom. And connecting my speakers in party mode can take 1-2 minutes. Which sucks when you are jumping on your bike after leaving a beer stop with 30 other people bc you have to use so much extra time before hand. The media could not be loaded. I wanted a replacement shower speaker, and boy does this exceed any of my expectations! Not only is it waterproof, has great sound quality, and is beyond perfect for my shower, but I want to use it everywhere! Connects easily via Bluetooth, and starts up and powers down quickly. All the button features are very easy to use, and I even used the JBL app to connect it and change the lights and such and I haven't had any issues with the app so far. The light features are very cool, and even on the lowest brightness setting (can be adjusted via the app), it is VERY bright. For such a small, rechargeable speaker, the bass is VERY strong and the best of any speaker I own. The battery life is quite long -- I've used it a few times now at length and I haven't even needed to charge it once yet. My only issue with it is there's no way to go back a song. There's a way to go to the next song or fast forward, but no way to rewind or go back to a song by pressing a button on the speaker. That's a really minor issue though, and doesn't bother me much.
