The media could not be loaded. The Reason for Selection: When dispersed camping / backpacking sometimes I miss using my bidet that I have at home. This was selected to see if it fills that niche. General observations: After doing a few not so dry runs in the bathtub I will say this earns a spot in my backpacking "poop kit". The nozzle does direct a good enough spray pattern to do effective clean up. I like that when you stop squeezing the bottle, it does refill with air to give your region another blast of cleaning. However, with that air, what ever lands on the nozzle can get pulled into the bottle. The kit comes with a number of different size o-rings. After trying different combinations I found a good set to work with a standard sized smart water bottle. Adding a bit of plumbers silicone grease to the o-rings helped with fitting the device in the bottles. The Good: This device weighs in at 16 grams / 0.6 oz, this is a weight penalty I am willing to carry if it works well in the woods. The Bad: While it is bordering on unhygienic to use the same bottle for drinking water that you would for a bidet, I will have to carry a dedicated soda bottle to use with this device. This is not a fault of the device so does not affect my rating. The Ugly: Nothing Ugly. Value for Price: From my perspective and experience, the price is fair. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Initially, I thought this product would be better served with a threaded connection, but considering that it is designed for travel, when one doesn't know what size bottle might be available from day to day and the added complication of various thread pitches, I can see why the product creator went this route with the O-rings. Item comes with 5 sets of two o-rings of various sizes. Don't use those super thin-walled (eco-friendly) bottles with this as the force needed to get a good seal will crush the bottle and/or get you wet (and not in a good way). Find a bottle with a good strong neck and keep using it would be my suggestion. I also recommend leaving one of the Largest O-rings in the uppermost position (as shipped) to help physically stabilize the product on your bottle of choice. Great for camping as claimed. However, given the effort needed to get the device into a bottle, I'm surprised there is not a cap or cover or something, both for hygienic reasons and for helping to prevent spillage. Probably more appropriate for traveling or glamping since it is very compact without the bottle and the item comes in a fairly sturdy, reusable box. Also, you can warm the bottle whereas there may or may not be warm water available where you are camping. Wife's wish list item fulfilled. Read more

I travel a lot and like to be clean, so I tested this thing out. Let's jump straight to the important parts: 1) The JEP bidet attaches to the bottle with only a press-fit, counting on finding the correct size of O-ring from the collection they provide. If you want to use whatever bottle is handy you'll probably need to travel with the whole collection of o-rings. I tried to use a major-label bottled water bottle and found none of the provided O-rings quite did the job. I wound up using 2 of the 2nd size and 1 of the third size to get a pretty good connection but still couldn't squeeze too hard without risking ejecting the nozzle from the bottle (not good during use!) 2) The bottle spray works, but really doesn't compare to a real bidet. Maybe if I could have squeezed the bottle more without risking detachment it would have been better, but the nozzle opening used a ton of water even for the feeble spray so maybe not. 3) I found the overall experience less good than just wetting some tissue, and far less good than a real bidet. Sorry JEP. I think a better attachment technique might be needed, and possibly a smaller nozzle to allow spray sufficient for cleaning without using all the bottle instantly. Read more

I'm not normally the kind of person who uses a bidet, but this seemed like a waterproof solution to answering nature's call during a rainy camping trip. This does not spark joy. It's meant to pressure fit into the lid of a bottle, but it uses rubber washers to form a seal when it should just use whatever it is that goes on bartender speed pours. When you get this thing, it has four of the rubber washers already on it, the two smallest and the two largest. The smallest does not form a tight fit on a standard pulled and spring water bottle, and after a little bit of finesse I got the middle size on. This one was too big. I feel like you want a little bit of water pressure behind this thing in order to get it to clean to a hygienic capacity. When I squeeze down on the bottle, the topper shot right out. There was water everywhere, and I was no cleaner. When I couldn't get a firmer seal with the next size up, I tried to be a little softer with the application of water pressure, but that just doesn't clean anything and you wind up holding an empty bottle. This might be useful though for spraying water and other capacities, so I'll still give it two stars. I just wouldn't use it for its intended purpose. Read more
