This skirt is true to size, although it runs long. Good length for a medium heel height shoe/boot. Recommend you let it hang at full length for at least 24 hours to allow fabric to relax before first wearing. Cold water wash. Twist skirt back into original bundle & secure with rubber bands to air dry. It will take a couple days to dry but you will not regret taking the time to do this step. Read more

Jessica London's makes the best broomstick skirt of anyone. I did get the black one and years later it is still as good as new. It is heavyweight cotton but not heavy or hot. I only wish they still had the white because that one needs to be replaced. I am waiting for them to carry it again as I think this company makes an excellent product. I noted that the fit was "somewhat large" but I would also say it definitely fits as expected. You can order one size down from your usual and still be assured of a good fit, or stay with the usual size that will handle a weight gain if necessary. The elastic waistband is exceedingly comfortable. My only complaint, if it can be called that, is that the skirt is long. I am 5'2" and I find myself wishing it was two inches shorter so a petite sizing would be a wonderful addition to the line. I know I can have a seamstress take it up from the waist but have yet to do so. That said, I give this my highest recommendation. It looks good, it feels good, it lasts, it's very pretty. This skirt is a great item for Summer. Moves easily from shabby casual to sheik dinner and drinks! Coverage is great and care is OMG easy --- simply wash, twist in a knot (for about an hour) then easy shake out to dry. When traveling --- twist into a knot and go.
