I sold my 20+ bottles of high-end eau de parfums many, many years ago when my migraines no longer allowed me to wear fragrances of any kind. I recently discovered (accidentally) that I can wear perfume again without getting an immediate headache but only certain scents like vanilla-based gourmands or light fruit-based scents. After wearing Marc Jacobs' "Daisy Eau So Fresh" successfully all summer, I was looking for a warm vanilla/caramel type scent for autumn/winter. I was surprised by how many YouTube perfume snobs recommended this Jessica Simpson fragrance and at under $20 for a 3.4 oz bottle of "Fancy", it was a blind-buy no-brainer. Well, the YouTubers were right. It is a lovely, well-rounded, perfect for cooler weather, inviting fragrance that works well for daytime or evening. The dry-down is exactly a nice creamy, caramel vanilla vibe that lasts surprisingly long and doesn't ever smell artificial or cheap. I get a solid 8 hours from this fragrance with one spray to each wrist and one to my neck. The sillage really only lasts the first 2-3 hours which is just fine with me. I like more intimate fragrances anyway. I prefer to share my scents with only those closest to me, and speaking of those closest, my husband loves this one. Whether you're a picky perfumery expert or just someone looking for an affordable workhorse of a winter fragrance, you cannot go wrong with this yummy gourmand. I rarely gift fragrances but I would definitely give this to any perfume lover/collector unless they specifically have a dislike of gourmand scents. The packaging and bottle are very attractive too. "Fancy" really holds its own among even high-end designer eau de parfums. Ms. Simpson should be very proud of her contribution to the fragrance world. Read more

This is a very feminine scent . Very beautiful.. I purchased for myself but gifted to daughter as I have always worn masculine and unisex perfumes . I was giving a feminine perfume a try it just wasn’t for me . Literally about five times my daughter has visited me I’m like “Wow you smell so good “. She replies “It’s the perfume you gave me “. I stopped asking now but it projects nicely . She says it is her signature scent now and she gets compliments often . I want to add I did have Juicy Gold a few years back and it smells similar but I can tell tell that one didn’t last more than 2 hrs . This one will last all day . I wore it for about a month before giving it to my daughter and I’m a nurse and worked long 12-14 hr shifts. I’ve been using this perfume for 15 years now and is the only one that fit perfect my skin. Smells all day and is a smooth smell. Great for any day and events. I used to buy in person but is not longer available in stores closed by me. So I was excited to find it here! Read more

This was a sentence I used to wear when I first came out and I went through a couple bottles and I loved it then I actually bought it this time and for some reason it just didn’t feel like when I used to love and adore it. I mean, I might give it time to macerate to see if that makes a difference, but I mean it’s still a beautiful scent. It still gives a good so large you know you can smell it the quality is amazing. It’s a little light in the beginning. Well, not really it’s a little perfume me in the beginning but then it lightens up. It gets better so it’s very wearable for anything office. I honestly bought this because of the bottle and it being less expensive than most fragrances. It is very floral and kind of fruity as well. To me it is more of a spring maybe summer scent. I do with the cap was metal, but for the price its still gorgeous and a pretty big bottle. Read more

Nothing gourmand, sweet or caramel-y about this to my nose. It smells like any other cheap perfume you can but in a drug store. Period point blank. Don't understand the hype. For reference (because this should be a requirement for any fragrance review), perfumes: sabrina carpenter's sweet tooth, 7 virtues vanilla woods, dulce by rosie jane, eilish, eclair, nebras, juicy couture gold, Skylar boardwalk, solinotes vanille, bath and body works sprays: Strawberry pound cake, fresh vanilla blossom, autumn drive, Madagascar vanilla, white pumpkin Chai, pumpkin marshmallow Some of those are SWEET, obviously gourmand, not all so you can see I actually know what SWEET and gourmand is. These people are out here saying Burberry goddess is sweet. Probably the same people that bought this perfume and said this is a sweet vanilla perfume. NOTHING SWEET or gourmand ABOUT IT. I don't care if it's considered cheap. It's still a waste of money of you can't wear it so definitely a blind buy fail. Maybe if it sits for a year and the juice gets dark as with vanilla perfumes it changes, but the point is if you expect some perfume that smells like a dessert, you will be disappointed. Read more
