nice finished surface, and actually looks silvery

finish is lot better than those inexpensive under $10 ones. It actually looks like silver plated too, compared to stainless steel look on some of them. You are putting the ends in to your mouth so the smooth surface is a must. But can't go and spend 50 or 60 on the top brand... Good for the buck. Read more

Okay embouchure trainer. I'm not sure it really works. I'm still a terrible trumpet player.

This embouchure trainer is okay. I used it consistently but didn't notice any spectacular difference. I'm still a terrible trumpet player, but I'm still trying. There are two exercises. You can place the small end in your mouth and squeeze your lips to try to keep the device parallel with the ground. Or you can place the large flat end in your mouth behind your lips and tense your lips to resist as you gently pull the device away from your face. The device looks the same to me as the much more expensive name-brand alternative. Read more

if you are learning trumpet you want one of these

I received mine about a week ago... been using it for maybe 30 minutes a day since then and I could tell on the first practice it was changing my lips muscles for the better. You will see improvement in your control pretty much right away, and this brand is a solid product. It is polished enough so that there are no rough spots. I'm very happy I started using one. Neat little tool!

This is a pretty neat little tool for strengthening your chops. I’m putting myself through an embouchure change, and it helps to isolate the muscles. I used to do this with a classic Bic pen. (the one with the tiny hole in the side) I’d take out the pen and blow in the tube! Drove my high school teachers crazy! I also replaced the little flimsy rubber grips with higher quality, thicker rings from the hardware store. About $1.50.(see pic) This device works just fine for me vs. the actual $50-$70 original. I can’t imagine spending that much for this little tool. Again, replace the little grip rings, and you’ve got a nice aide! Read more

Well made. No regrets

After a couple days using this training device, I noticed an improvement in my playing. The 2 'O' rings slip off easily but are unnecessary. Keep it within easy reach so that you will actually use it, but don't "over use" it. Clean it once in a while and away from other hard objects to avoid scratches. Find directions for its' use on the NET searching for the brand name product. Read more

Great for Busy and Lazy Musicians

Thislet me train smart, not hard—this device delivers. I use it by placing the circular end in my mouth like I’m yawning, then pulling on it while trying to close my lips. That works the corners. Then I switch to the hourglass end, gently bite down, and move it around to build control. It’s all about movement and resistance—not just wearing it passively. I use it while doing chores or walking around. I also blow air through it like I’m playing into a mouthpiece—faster air helps develop high register control. Think of saying “sizzle” in slow motion. Going from loud to soft and back helps with tone control. This cut my warm-up time in half, made my upper register fatter and less squeaky, and helped me shape my vibrato—all while playing on a heavyweight Schilke 14A4A Heavyweight with small lips. It keeps my embouchure sharp without overthinking. Minor Drawbacks (Not Deal-Breakers): • No case included—would be great for keeping it clean. • Would love a version built into a real mouthpiece rim for better feedback. • More geared towards experienced players Read more

It might be a miniature space station

It is most definitely what it appears to be: a machined piece of metal or something. The rubber bands came right off just from touching it. As for what it does... Go ahead, put it in your mouth. Ain't nobody stopping you Read more
